Hello Summer Collection perfect for Family Photos

Hello again! Kim here with another layout share for the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine! As our Alberta days shorten and get cooler, I am drawn to the colours of the season but my scrapbooking keeps me into summer vibes just a bit longer! For my layout, I used Simple Stories collection – Hello Summer. It was easy to pull out the patterned paper and embellishments that worked with my photo; a rare family photo opportunity that found my parents, siblings and myself all together! If lobster bibs are part of that moment…so be it! Here I matted my main image on a piece of CSM Superstock and made it larger to accommodate my journaling as well as my photo. Heartfelt Creations – Have a Beautiful Day Card

Whoa! Someone put the reigns on August! Somehow this summer has gotten away from us and September is right around the corner! That means kids are back to school and the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival is too! Seems like we just packed up from last year’s carnival! So today I have a quick card share for you that looks a bit more time consuming than it is! Rule #1 as a card maker – make them think you sweat…think Rice Crispy commercial! My card was inspired by our July Sketchy challenge and layered on top of some CSM superstock! December Sketchy Challenge – Ranger Distress inks to the Rescue!

Hello! Kim here with a quick share, my layout based on our December Sketchy Challenge! Those who go to retreats with me know that I CANNOT focus and get things done. I chat too much, can’t find what I need and “squirrel” around seeing what everyone else is doing! In the moment, I hate that I can’t scrapbook while retreating, but I come home so inspired…it’s just what I need to unwind and get the creative juices flowing! My friend Kerry gave me the creative task of working with the negative space of her cut-out for a project. Based on the shape…I’m sure it was for her sketch inspired layout as well! MY FAVOURITE RANGER PRODUCTS I taped it onto my blank, bright-white Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s Superstock and started playing with my Ranger Distress Oxide inks! It was the perfect task for my squirrelling brain…no real thought required, just swirling ink…

HAPPY NEW YEAR Hello and Happy New Year! Kim here for a Tuesday with the Team post! First and foremost, how luck am I to work with such an amazing group of creative souls. I sometimes have to pinch myself! My project today is actually one I worked on in November but did not get a chance to share. In December, my focus quickly went to cards, gift buying and a trip to Mexico. Now it’s time to get back into a creative routine and practice! SIMPLE SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT This simple layout was created using products from Paper House Productions and Tombow. PRODUCT LOVE My layout background was created with two sheets of patterned paper from the Delish 12” Paper Pad covered with the acetate bird sheet.
