Since Where you Create falls on Valentine’s Day this week, I thought a bit of pink was neccessray! Peggy Oliver’s room is just what was needed. Her room is filled with storage ideas and creativity…a spot for everything! Here is what she has to say about her creative space! Hello! My name is Peggy Oliver and I am a mother of three (22, 14 and 4yr old).  I live in the very rural, but beautiful town of Sooke, British Columbia. I am very blessed to live on an oceanfront acreage with a salmon bearing river on the property. The wildlife I see on a daily basis inspires my art.  I am a stay at home mom who loves mixed media, clay and paper. I also love to make Mini Albums.  I have a small bedroom as my workspace. When we moved in last December I had the walls painted pink.…

Another week has come and gone, it seems I just posted last week’s WHERE YOU CREATE! We are officially at the end of January! Another month of winter weather dealt with and under our belt; that much closer to signs of spring! Can you tell I am anxious to be done with winter? Did you here that the Spring Issue has gone to press? Another sign of the coming of spring… *happy dance* While we think happy spring thoughts, let go visit Shaun Paddock’s scrapbook space. Here’s what she has to say: “Kim, I just finished my scrap area which is a landing in our upstairs rec room. It is not ideal or perfect but I love it. The thing I like the most is that 80% of what I use on most pages is within my reach.  I never have to get up unless I have to…

By now most of us are back into our normal routines.  With the holidays weeks behind us, we can take a big, relaxing breath and hopefully carve out some scrapbooking time. With a noticeable difference in daylight, I sense my body starting to wake up for lack of a better word. I tend to gravitate to my scrapbook room instead of the couch in the evenings, and I feel my “mojo” slowly returning. If you still need help with your “mojo”, maybe a peek into April Childs scrap room will get it revved up! Look close and you will see LOTS of great ideas for organizing supplies and work space. Here are some pics of where I create.   My scrap room isn’t an actual room but instead is a part of our basement family room.  Our family room is shaped like an L and my area is in the…

Here we are again, middle of January already! I am starting to notice a little more daylight to each day. I CRAVE longer days! Heck I CRAVE spring! Seems we have been in the throes of winter for an awfully long time; dark, grey cold days! Today I want to share Jamie Monkman’s scrapbooking space! It is wonderfully organized, bright & cheery room! This is just the BURST of color my life needs! This creative space is sure to waken your MOJO! This is my cheerful scrap room.  I have had 3 scrap rooms in the last 15 years, this one being the smallest but my favourite one of them all! The colours teal, lime green and orange are so bright and cheerful, they make me happy.   I bought some shelving from Canadian Tire and put 4 of them side to side and back to back then added…
