September is such a busy month! It has just flown by! Like all of you, we at Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine have been getting our families back into routine and working hard behind the scenes to bring two wonderful scrapbook Carnivals to Edmonton and Calgary during this month! Today is the first day of Calgary’s GREAT CANADIAN SCRAPBOOK CARNIVAL! If you are in the neighbourhood come by and say HELLO! SCRAPFEST is running this weekend as well in Richmond Hill so you can come by our booth there as well to say HELLO! We’ll be the ones laughing and giggling! We LOVE to have fun! If you are staying close to home this weekend, come take a peek into Lorie’s creative space! You are going to love how she’s organizedΒ  herself in what used to be a guest room! Β Β This is my room that my hubby turned from a small guest…

Happy Friday! This weekend officially marks the last weekend of summer! How will you spend it? I will be packing up and ending our holidays in Nova Scotia. Hopefully my camera will be full of pictures; memories of time spent with family and the gorgeous scenery that surrounded us. It should give me lots of scrapbooking inspiration!Β  Today Jenn Aguilar is giving us a peek into her creative space. I love her explanation of what her creative space means to her!Β  Β  Every scrapbooking woman needs a place to create. It has to be a place that is her own and can hold all of her collections.Β  It is part gallery, part warehouse and part workstation. My room is a place where I can enjoy all my previous projects, share my creativity with friends and do projects with my kids.Β  This room is more than a hobby space; it’s my…

I am sure by now your lives are settling back into the routine of school, work and homework. Mornings are substantially darker when the alarm goes off and the evenings are cooler. We still have a couple weeks of summer, but the signs lead us to autumn. Although I enter September with a smile; I love the cooler days and nights [23C is perfect in my world!], I am sad to see the somewhat unstructured days of summer begin to be a memory. I’m sure it’s because I know what potential harsh winter weather is down the pipes!Β  For now though I enjoy evenings spent indoors in my craft room scrapbooking, a hobby that gets very little of my time when it’s hot and humid! If the change in weather hasn’t sparked your creativity…Kelley Clarke’s craft room certainly will! She’s opening her drawers for us to peek inside!Β  Β  I…

Happy September! Kids are back at school for most of Canada, and we pray that British Columbia can get things figured out soon for the sake of the kids! Time to grab a coffee and enjoy a peek into Corry Heinricks’ space! Lots of storage ideas waiting for you, so enjoy! After a 2 year hiatus from paper-crafting while I got my photo studio business up and running I am back in the thick of ink and paper.Β Β  I spent the first month of this year doing a whole house clean sweep and that included a large purge and reorganize of my scrapbook space as well.Β Β  I got rid of a lot (even though from the photos you can’t tell because I could still create for years without ever having to purchase anything but adhesive and white card stock) but what I am so happy about is sorting and…

Labour Day long-weekend is here! A busy, busy weekend for so many of us. Some of us will be away on the last vacation of the season, some of us will be hustling through the stores getting ready for school to start and some of us will get caught up in the business of this long-weekend because it is ingrained in who we are even when our kids are no longer in school. I am not sharing a specific craft room today,Β I want to give those who share with us the benefit of the most viewers! Somehow I think many of our Canadian readers might be busy with other things over the next few days!Β We have lots of Fridays coming up to share your rooms, so KEEP THEM COMING! We love to get your emails sharing your space, even more I LOVE to turn them into Blog posts to share…

August 22nd! How did we get here? Didn’t the kids just get out of school and now we’re out buying school supplies and thinking of what lunches we’ll put together all year! With 2 weekends left before school starts [for most!] get out and enjoy time with your family before September routine begins! Wondering what kind of trouble to get yourself into once the kiddos hop on the bus? Maybe it’s time to organize your creative space! Melisa Mullins shares her space this week. Lots of pictures to share! Lots of thing to store…everything certainly appears to have a home! I like to keep most of my things in plastic bins, and on my pegboards. A lot of the plastic bins are 12×12 so you can put your paper inside them. I print out labels of what it is each bin so I know where to go for what…

WOW…August 15th and we are still into full blown summer here in Alberta! To the rest of the country that may seem silly, but we really don’t get long lasting heat and I think we are heading into week 5! Sadly this week Ontario is getting what we might expect…they are almost into single digits! I am confident they will come out of their weather slump shortly! Today we visit Sandra Dower’s creative space. It is bright and clean and I suspect cool in the summer. Due to the window size, I would guess her craft room is in the basement. I am a bit envious, my craft rom is upstairs in a spare bedroom and for most of the summer it has been like a sauna…it does not inspire a lot of creativity when it feels like that! Sandra shares some brief words about her space: I just moved…

Hello August! You are looking just fine! Summer continues to chug along…wonderful and warm here in Alberta. We are not used to such lovely weather for such an extended time and it looks like it will stay with us! Hopefully the rest of Canada is enjoying summer perfection! We are heading south of the border this week to visit Kayla Cure in Andover, Kansas! Her space has some GREAT organizing ideas; I may have to use a few for my space! Β  My room is certainly not one of those designer rooms that is matchy- matchy. My furniture is used & repurposed and my decorations that I have are collected from garage & clearance sales. My walls need a serious paint job because my two little girls sometimes use it as their canvas. They too, like to use Mommy’s cool art supplies! This fun mix of treasures and imperfections is…

Here we are again! August is here which means the start of a long weekend! Registration for the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival starts today! New Instagram photo prompts and a new sketch for the Sketchy Gallery will go live! It’s a BUSY day for Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine! With so much going on and with so many of our readers away for the long weekend, I have opted NOT to showcase a creative space this week. I want to make sure everyone has the same potential to share, and I suspect that more people will be out and about and away from their computers! Our summers are short and long weekends spread out! ENJOY! For those of you still around, look for inspiration on our blog. Scroll through previous posts to see what you may have missed! The new website is awesome and easy to get around! Visit us on Facebook,…

Stop and breathe…this is the LAST weekend in July! What have you been doing with your summer days? Are you working through them all or are you taking time for holidays or maybe a bit of both! We look forward to lots of shared scrapbooking moments! You know we are always looking for your submissions or you could try using one of our many sketches! This week’s WHERE YOU CREATE comes all the way from France! I love that we have connected with friends β€œacross the pond”. The internet brings our worlds closer together and introduces us to friends we would otherwise not know! Let’s send Alaxandra a BIG, CANADIAN BONJOUR!
