Whoa! How did we get to the middle of April already? Hope everyone is enjoying the longer days, I know I am. Light, later in the day gives me more energy to get out walking in the evenings and lets more light into my scrapbook room for longer periods of time. LOVE IT! Another thing I love is this gorgeous room we are sharing today! When my son (finally) moved out last summer, my husband gave me the best Christmas Gift of all. He laid new floor, added lots of lighting, repainted, remodelled and stocked the room with tons of storage space. I now have the perfect craft room to create and have fun on my own, or when I bring the 2 tables to the centre of the room, I have a class room for 6 people. This winter I also took up Knitting and Crochet, so the closet…

Happy Easter to those celebrating! Easter is always a sure sign of spring, even when it comes as early as this year. I hope everyone plans to enjoy their long weekend, and gets to spend time with friends and family! Though your days may be busy with entertaining and Easter commitments, please take a few minutes to enjoy Terrie Moar’s wonderful creative space! I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 5. Now that all of my children are in their own homes, I have a room for myself to scrapbook, craft and make cards. We renovated our home in 2014 and my craft room was the second room to be done. I LOVE IT!!! It’s about 10 x 17 and every space is used to its maximum. I love having the tall table in the middle of the room. I can stand or sit. I have a…

Sorry to be a bit late today with WHERE YOU CREATE. I was out last night to see Adam Lavigne/Maroon 5 in concert [where THEY create!] and didn’t get my blog post complete until this afternoon! I know many of you who “swoon” over Adam will understand my scheduling dilemma! So without further ado, let’s get to this week’s creative space! Diane Kohl lets us take a peek into very organized space! Here are a few shots of my little art space. We call it the blue room; it used to be my daughter’s bedroom that was painted her favorite color. It is also the smallest studio space I have ever had! To make it work functionally, I used plastic storage towers and book cases for floor to ceiling storage. I have a great paper cabinet; purchased from Canadian Tire about 12 years ago. For maximize space and lighting I…

HAPPY SPRING! Though so many of us [especially from the Maritimes!] are not feeling the spring love at all… The calendar indeed says it is a true fact; that we have officially made it through winter. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could just turn off the snow and be done with it? I know I keep good company in my want for colour in my world again…green grass, flowers, blue skies…may it not be a pipe dream! I therefore challenge you to put down your snow shovel and come visit Karissa Wright’s creative space. Here is where I create! I bit the bullet and finally purchased my scrapbook area cabinetry. All of the white cabinets are from Ikea. I have paper storage in the tall white one, as well as under the desk area. My wooden stamps, glitters, adhesives, etc. are in the lower white cabinet under the…

Another Friday…another WHERE YOU CREATE! We are turning the corner on February, which means we are that much closer to spring. I have lived in Alberta long enough to know there is still time for lots of winter, but every single year….I am hopeful it will be done! THAT is yet to be seen! While we dream of warmer days let’s take a peek into Cathy Lyseng’s wonderful creative space. I used to have my Scrapbooking/Craft/Sewing Room in the basement. Although it was a beautiful space, I felt uninspired and confined. I’ve since moved upstairs and have made a brand new start….changed the colour scheme, work table and cabinetry. I still have some organizing to do but I’m now feeling the inspiration and have completed a number of projects.

February is moving right along, hope everyone is surviving the crazy weather that has been plaguing much of Central Canada and our Eastern provinces. Having families in Ontario and Nova Scotia, I feel your pain! Hang tight, March is just around the corner! On a brighter note; have you been entering our TASTE OF CHA? Still time to enter each day to increase your odds…someone is going to be a HAPPY SCRAPPER and the envy of their scrapbooking community! Before you go enter, come have a peek at this week’s creative space. Lynda Barber is from Guelph and needs some “warm” hellos from all our readers! My name is Lynda Barber; I’m from Guelph, Ontario and have been crafting as long as I can remember.  I’ve finally reached the point where my craft space (although still a work in progress) is not an embarrassment to share. Don’t get me…

Another Friday is upon us, which means it’s time for another WHERE YOU CREATE! I can’t say tell you how much I enjoy doing these reveals, keep them coming! Our crafting styles and personalities shine through in how we keep our stuff! It doesn’t matter how big or small your space is or whether it is tidy or not, every week I find a new way of storing or organizing something! I love that! This week we are heading into Lynn’s beautiful, bright space. I am envious of her amazing light that bathes her space! *swoon* Good morning Kim!  I love visiting other crafter’s space and sharing ideas on how to keep things organized!   I would love to share my scrappy space with you today 🙂   My husband deserves 99% of the credit for this room; it was his idea and encouragement that made it happen… (and patience…

Here we are…the last week of January! The days are noticeably lighter; longer and we are one month closer to Spring. We have had an abnormally wonderful, warm month here in Alberta and my heart goes our to our friends in the East who are struggling through lots of snow this week. Hang in there…YOU TOO are one month closer to Spring! Although we aren’t holding a shovel to clear your driveway, we feel your pain. As Canadians we ALL know to well that Mother Nature has her own agenda, we are never to sure who she’ll pick on until it happens! For now…pay her no attention, it’s time to see where Donna Mather creates! Thanks for sharing your space with us Donna! Remember…we LOVE getting your pictures. Tell us in a few words why you love your space, share your favourite storage ideas and let us take a peek! We,…

Hi Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine! I have wanted to share my space with you for some time, but it is never cleaned up! Well yesterday was a banner day! I have been designing classes to share with my local girlfriends; yesterday I completed the kits so for once, it was clean enough for pictures! When we bought our home, my husband offered 1/2 of the rec room for my scrapbooking space! I was shocked! He purchased two 8′ sections of counter top and installed them at one end of the room.  I purchased the paper shelves from my uncle’s shop when he retired; my cousin sold scrapbooking supplies and taught classes there. I have my Mom’s old, solid dining table as my main table and two 8’ folding tables for friends. I have almost 3/4 of the rec room! He has a TV and couch at the other end, not much…

Happy Friday! We are back again featuring another fantastic scrapbooking room! I sense this will be a great year of sharing. I still have pictures to share from last year’s submissions and they are starting to roll in for 2015! Keep them coming! When sharing your room, remember…I love getting pictures with high resolution as they are easiest for me to work with and make sure you share YOUR words about your space, what you love most, favourite storage ideas, etc… Now, let’s take a peek into Tammy’s space! Hi Kim, I thought I would share my space. My family and I moved to our new home in Blackfalds, AB. on July 8th, 2014 and it gave me the opportunity to show you my new crafting space from start to finish. Our home is a rental so I had to be creative in how I used the wall space,…
