Here we are…October 16th! Did everyone survive the Thanksgiving long weekend? Hopefully the weekend was spent with family and friends; sharing laughs and good food! I think I have enough turkey in my system now to hold me until Christmas, which sadly will be here before we know it! My Pax cupboard from IKEA holds a ton of my supplies. My wood stamps are displayed in a rotating cupboard that I “snagged” from an upscale shop that closed down. I added all the shelves. It’s wonderful to be able to see all your stamps and markers! I keep all my sprays in an altered kid’s shelf. It was blue, red and yellow before I covered it with Graphic 45 steampunk…
Here we are…October! The seasons have most definitely changed. Though it saddens me that winter follows so quickly, I adore this time of year…the colours, the crispness of the air, cozy sweaters and scarves; not to mention Thanksgiving and Halloween! Embrace this awesome month and spend some time creating! This week we are in Candace Bernier’s craft room. A gorgeous space in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan! I love your magazine; every time I see it in the drugstore I grab a copy! I hosted a wedding shower a while back and cleaned my scrapbook room from top to bottom; invariably a guest would want to see it. We built our house several years ago. I was lucky enough to be able to customize a room to suit my scrapbooking and painting needs. My favourite part is the two big windows; which let in so much natural light. September is whizzing by! Kids are back in school, extra curricular sports are getting started and I have bought my first Christmas present! I know from now until the New Year, the days and weeks will come and go in a flash. May you find time in your busy schedule to hunker into your creative space and enjoy the process we love so much! Wow! It’s amazing how one week can quickly change summer to autumn. I could sense the change while driving to work this week; air was crisp, leaves are starting to change, sun sits in the sky lower and of course school buses and kids were out and about. Our kids started school this week, many won’t start until after Labour Day weekend…as it should be! Summer is too short in Canada to go back before then! This week’s creative space comes to us from Tami Wesselink of Worthington, Minnesota! I LOVE when our friends south of the border participate on our social media sites and and share with us here on the blog! We have awesome neighbours! Happy Friday! We are sharing ShawnaLee’s scrapbooking room today. It is relatively new creative space to her as she shared these with Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine in February, and we are getting to share them with you now! Moving is never easy and when you have lived in the near perfect home for 12 years, it is even harder. I recently moved from my beloved house and scrapbook room into a new community and new house. Starting over was difficult. I now share space with the kid’s playroom; though we have tried to make the spaces distinct. My new area is very functional and organized which I love. The shelving is perfect for all the paper, ribbon, buttons, flowers and other embellishments. I also love the two crafting spaces I have in my new room. Another Friday…another WHERE YOU CREATE! Today’s creative space is really cool. We’ve shared a lot of great rooms recently but it has been a long time since we’ve shared a smaller space; not everyone has ability to convert an entire room into a scrapbooking space. I LOVE how Kelly has converted a closet into a fabulous, functioning work area! Hello! We are finally all moved and everything is set up. We bought an old house and have been renovating for 7 months. I have converted a 59 x 36 closet into my “Scrap Pit”. This will be my working area. Papers and other goodies are stored around the house. I used an Ikea table top, Ikea cart and Ikea file drawers. My Best Craft Organizer hides a lot. I am loving the small place and was surprised how much I could get into it. It is in my laundry room, so…
