Today on our blog we welcome Karan Gerber, who is on the Design Team for Heartfelt Creations!

Hello everyone! My name is Karan Gerber, and I am thrilled to be with you here today. I reside in a small town called Sebringville, just minutes West of Stratford, Ontario. I have been on the Design Team for Heartfelt Creations  since November 2013 and have been invited to join them for another year heading into 2015. I was so excited when Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine asked me if I was interested in doing a blog post!  I have some Christmas Cards to share with you using the Festive Christmas collection.

One of the many reasons I love Heartfelt Creations  is they make it so easy for you to create handmade cards right at home. Their stamps most often have coordinating dies and card panels in the paper collection make it really easy for you to create some wonderful cards and scrapbook layouts. With the Festive Christmas Collection,  you can make 72 cards very easily, and I wanted to show you how versatile these card panels are. By just adding some die cuts, a couple card mats and a sentiment, you can create some beautiful Christmas cards to give away to those special people in your life.

I used this card panel to create a few cards. The first card, is the Bethlehem scene, the lower right card panel.

O Holy Night

I used the Layered Poinsettia die from Heartfelt Creations and the Arianna Lace die. The sentiment is cut from the bottom left panel.

The next card is the top right panel.

I used all the same dies on this card as I did in the above card with the exception of the Bella Rose Die. The sentiment is cut from the strip of sentiments on the panel.

Third card, I created using the top left card panel, flipping it to the right, using the same dies as above (Layered Poinsettia; Arianna Lace ) and the sentiment from the strip.

I have a more detailed card for my final card to show you.

This one features the Festive Candlelight Precut Set  which I stamped onto watercolour paper, then coloured with distress markers. I used the Layered Poinsettia Die, along with the Ornamental Add On Die .

I added some ribbon, a button with twine, and a couple of trinket pins to add some elegant touches to finish this card.

A huge thank you to Canadian Scrapbooker for having me here today! I hope I have inspired you to create some Christmas Cards using the Festive Christmas Collection  from Heartfelt Creations!

Aren’t Karan’s Christmas cards simply stunning?! We love Heartfelt Creations, and your projects definitely are inspiring, Karan!  Thank you so much for sharing with us today.

Hello, my name is Karan Gerber, and I reside in south western Ontario with my family, hubby Glenn of 19 years and our two boys, Elijah 18 and Galen 15.  My family is the main source of my inspiration, and you will always see their smiling faces adorning my layouts. I first began scrapbooking when a neighbor invited me to a home party, and I have been hooked ever since. That was over 15 years ago.

I love creating all kinds of paper projects.  I can best describe my style as detail oriented because I love to incorporate textures and layers of dimension whenever I can, using canvas, paper, chipboard, and fabric. I enjoy tucking tags for journal spots and hidden elements that the reader can pull out and learn more about the people in the photo.  I take a great deal of pride in my work, and this shows in the projects I create.

  5. Hey there Allyson!Caitlin Knowles here (I met you at the first mom’s night out that Hadley arranged I’m the one who has the lil mixed baby boy named Miles often seen in faobceok pics playing with Larson AKA ebony & ivory ). I adore the pics you’ve taken of Hadley and Larson, and I’ve waited long enough to have pics of me and my precious lil one taken (he’s almost 10 months)! I’ve waited so long because I am a single mom and therefor $ is tight, so I wanted to be sure the pics would be FANTASTIC! I’ve seen a lot of your pics of babies at this point, and would love to have a photo shoot with you. I have very few pics of me and Miles together because I’m always the one behind the camera so, I’m wondering how much you charge for a photo shoot with mama and baby? Can’t wait to hear from you! Many thanks,Caitlin Knowles619-992-9044
