Another month, another Sketchy Challenge!

I love working with sketches. They give me a place for my left brain to rest and my right brain to take over; sometimes the transition is that obvious! Sometimes a sketch speaks to me so much I work with it just as it is, but most often I want to change it up and make it mine. I rotate them, flip them, add more pictures or less, it is the starting point of so many options.

For this month’s sketch, I flipped it as if looking into a mirror!

I pulled some gorgeous paper and product from Close To My Heart [CTMH]. I have wanted to play with this Wanderful Workshop to Go for some time.

The layout is done with patterned papers from the kit. I cut all the country and city names from one of those papers and love how they completed my vision.

The “explore” camera and compass quote are stamps from the Wanderful set as well. They fit perfectly into cuts from the CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge.

Most often when I complete a scrapbook layout, I quickly put together a card while I have coordinating products scattered across my desk. This card uses cardstock and patterned paper from the same Wanderful kit.

The sentiment box was cut using the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.

Hope you find time to pull out this month’s sketch and let it be the starting point for your right brain!

🙂 🙂 🙂 Beautiful job, Kim, I love how you used the sketch and the papers from the CTMH Wanderful Workshop on the Go!! Also, a great tip about making a card after a LO since everything is on your desk. Smart! Thanks for sharing this with the world- it’s awesome work. Must bookmark this blog- Thanks! ~ Ali

  4. My husband and son just got back from a 5 day trip in Boston. I needed some inspiration to scrap their pics. This is perfect. TFS! <3Kim

  7. I do believe all of the ideas you have introduced in your post.
They’re really convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless,
the posts are very brief for beginners. May just you please extend them a little from next time?

    Thanks for the post.
