Hello! It’s Kim here on the blog today!
Just wanted to share a Halloween themed layout with you using some of my “new” favourite products! I was recently introduced to Magenta’s Nuance powders and I think I just may be developing a crush on them! I used them on this layout to create the background.
I first applied a thin layer of Gesso to my Canadian Scrapbooker Superstock. This “primes” the page making it less porous, which in turn allows for longer working time with some products! I spritzed the paper with water in the areas I want to apply colour, then tap some Nuance powders on the area and spritz with more water. Sometimes I would jiggle the page to move the colour, sometimes move it with a heat gun and sometimes dap it with paper towel to soften the colour. In other words…JUST PLAY!
I layered the FabScraps’ chipboard and Core’dinations Kraft Polka Dot Pop A2 card to mat the image. Both products add lots of extra texture without being too bulky. The fun part about using the A2 card is that it opens up to allow room for more pictures and/or journalling!
I cut my title using the Sizzix Word Play dies and Core’dinations Adhesive Glitter Paper!
Hope your Halloween is as spooky as you need it too be!
