It’s that time of year.
You’ve got to do your Christmas Cards.
I am here to tell you: Don’t be ambitious. Be realistic.
You need a card that is a) beautiful b) quick and c) has a wow factor.
That’s this card. Say hello to… Well. Simply – one glittery bulb using Stampin’ Up! products.
You can make these in bulk quickly.
Step one: Stamp using versamark your image onto watercolour paper. I chose this delightful Stampin’ Up! Happy Ornament stamp set. Heat emboss using black embossing powder. I usually do this in batches of 10.
Step two: Watercolour using your Stampin’ Write markers and an aqua painter. See last months Creative Scrapbooker Magazine post on how to do this. Let air dry or use a heat gun.
Step Three: It’s concoction time. To achieve this “glittery bulb” look, I took a piece of transparency and poured some Crystal Effects (also known as Glossy Accents). I added some Iridescent Ice Glitter from Stampin’ Up! I mixed it up until it was a paste.
Step Four: Using an old paint brush, paint the glittery paste over top of the watercoloured bulb.
Step Five: Let dry. Don’t touch.
Now that’s one glittery bulb.
Easy peezy. Now get cracking because you only have a couple weeks before you have to have those cards in the mail!
Happy Creating!
