Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog once again! I thoroughly enjoyed creating with the Simple Stories Summer Days collection and this month’s sketch! Creating projects based on a sketch is SUPER FUN AND EASY! Using a sketch is the ultimate starting point to kick start your creative juices. Each and every month I design a sketch for The Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Sketchy Gallery – you take the sketch – create with it and then upload your projects in the gallery for us all to enjoy! Be sure to visit our gallery to check out literally years of sketches and designs created by hundreds of different scrapbookers. It is a wonderful place to get inspired.
The Sept Sketch
Here is this month’s sketch- a super cool design based on a pie formation. We are going to have fun with this one. I can hardly wait to see what you all come up wtih.My Project Based on the Sketch
I love summer and I love my new blue bike. Now that I’m an empty nester I’ve replaced taking pictures of my kids with pictures of “bleu” (that’s her name). I have a lot of photos that I thought would be fun to document. The Summer Days collection from Simple Stories was a natural fit. I just layered all sorts of elements in the different slices. I then separated my slices with yarn.

I used the Scrapbook Adhesvives by 3L E-Z Runner tape runner to adhere everything into place. The have a wide variety of different tape runners that are perfect for just about any job!
I will be back on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog in a few days with another take on the Sept Sketch – I just couldn’t stop creating with this one! I’m looking forward to seeing your interpretations. Tag me in your projects. @engelbelle on Instagram
