One of the things we loved the most about working with Christy Riopel was her ability to think outside the box. In her regular Tool Junkie column Christy would take supplies, create a project in the way the products were intended. Next, she would create a few more projects showing you different ways that you may not have thought, to use your supplies. Very clever. Such was the case in our Fall 2013 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. In this article Christy used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares as stamps – stamping with adhesives – who would have thought.
Here is the spread as seen in the Fall 2013 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine with the step by steps on how Christy designed her layout. Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares were definitely not intended for stamping – however Christy turned them into a super cool stamp perfect for backgrounds. Arranging the foam squres in different designs, stamping with adhesives – I love it.
Getting the most out of your scrapbooking supplies makes the cost you put into your stash feel a tiny bit better! (giggle giggle) All to often we purchase supplies (if you are like me) – use them on one or two projects – and then they get placed into deep hibernation.
I hope this article by Christy has inspired you to use your stupplies in all different kinds ways. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. In loving memory of Christy Riopel – we continue to raise money for the Christy Riopel Art Scholarship. To date – one scholarship has been given through The Boys & Girls club of Calgary. This warms my heart knowing that Christy continues to spread gentle, caring and inspiring love through art in our world. Thank you so much to everyone who donates. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
