“Double double, toil & trouble”…. Tim Hortons? Shakespeare?… No, Creative Memories.
Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog having double the fun with two layouts and Creative Memories Toil & Trouble Collection.

Feeling Punchy
The colors in this collection are rich and yummy; teal and orange are so fun for fall. The coordinating cardstock is perfect for punching out embellishments or to use as a base.

Creative Memories has some fabulous punches, the pumpkin one just makes me grin. The footprint punch was probably made with beach layouts in mind but I punched out the foot prints on the bottom edge and then placed a black piece of paper behind the cut-out to create some creepy ghost like foot prints. Are you scared???
The fence and pumpkin punches layer nicely. How cute are teal pumpkins? To create more depth I inked all my edges in Ranger vintage photo distress oxides.
Secret time…
Are you like me? Layering big pieces of paper on top of each other feel like a waste. I get very frugal when I layer papers and I cut out the bottom paper, creating a frame of sorts. I always use my Creative Memories cutting system to “hollow” out my pages. You never know when you’ll need a scrap piece to make tags. To give my stickers a bit more strength I adhere them to Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock and then cut them out. I use foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives 3L to give them some dimension.
Washi tape and the die cut words just bring it all together. As I was writing this I stopped to count my Creative Memories albums: I have 25! I began my scrapbooking adventure 20 years ago this November with Creative Memories. Their albums house all our precious stories and memories. I’m proud to be highlighting their latest Halloween line for you today.
