Hello everyone, Jayme Loge here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with the Delish collection by Paper House Productions.
I work in a school, and so I have fantastic summer holidays. I always make huge lists, and formulate big plans and then, as it happens when there is an abundance of time, the days disappear with the daylight hours. I have long since learned that scrapbooking is one of the casualties of diminishing time and large lists. I mull ideas for pages when I’m weeding in my garden. I plan out photos and supplies I want to use while driving out to the lake. I spend an hour or two in air-conditioned scrapbook stores, adding to my stash. But when it comes down to sitting at my scrapbook table and actually scrapbooking, I can’t get there. I guess I am loathe to sacrifice any hours of sunshine to my basement workspace.
When I do have to get something accomplished (thanks blog post schedule!) I reach for things that are already coordinated and ready to go. For this layout documenting my 45th birthday (I don’t know how that happened either!!!!), Paper House Productions ‘Delish’ line was just what I needed! Adorable paper and embellishments were ready to pair up with my pictures, and this layout came together quickly (and pretty cutely, if I do say so myself) so I can get back to my tomatoes, peas, and weeds.Supplies used: Paper House Productions patterned paper and stickers; Heidi Swapp wooden embellishment; Pink Paislee acrylic numbers
Enjoy your last few days of summer. Make beautiful memories so you have lots to scrapbook during those stormy winter days! That’s what I plan to do!
