Hi friends…Noreen Smith from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here! Have you ever been so excited about something that you just couldn’t wait to get it? That you had to have it – NOW? That’s the way I felt about the new Explorer Collection and the Camouflage Paper Pack! When these new products launched earlier this week I ordered them right away, but knew they wouldn’t be here for a week or so. Thank goodness both collections are available as Digital Art Kits! I purchased them online, downloaded them, and within minutes was using them to create digital layouts. Since I’m a Boy Mom who lives close to the Rocky Mountains and has a cabin in the woods, these papers and embellishments seemed to be made just to highlight our family photos! The outdoorsy patterns, rustic colors, and camping, fishing, and hiking imagery will be perfect to document any kind of masculine photos and all your outdoor adventures too! First, I used the Explorer Papers and Embellishments to showcase some photos of my oldest son at Beaver Camp a few years back. I used the green Wildlife paper for the background and digitally cut a couple of the border strips from another paper. Three circle embellishments and a simple banner shape finished this layout off within about 10 minutes! The font is Hysteria Sans. For the next quick layout featuring some photos taken along the Bow River in Calgary, I chose the blue Water paper for the background. Over that I placed a square of green Gingham paper and a strip of the Fishing paper. I added the fishing rod, fish, sign and arrow embellishments and typed my journaling onto some rectangles that look like journal strips. Another 10-minute layout! The font is Fantastic. I made the final layout into a double-page spread since I had several photos that I wanted to use from a trip out to Elbow Falls in Kananaskis Country. I used the green Tonal Leaves paper from the Camouflage paper pack as the background and the Digi blue paper for an accent block. I digitally cut out four waves borders, added the Explore sign, several embellishments and then typed my journaling onto a simple rectangle. The font is Chandler Print. Even a two-page layout only takes about 15 minutes to create digitally and I LOVE that I can use the same elements over and over again – they never run out! It’s magic for scrapbookers! If you are a digital scrapbooker, definitely check out all of CM’s Digital Art Kits!
In case you’re wondering, I used Forever’s Artisan Software for all my digital scrapbooking! You can find out more about here. All Creative Memories products featured in these projects are available in Canada on my CM website, and you can find advisors in the US and other countries by using the Advisor Lookup feature.
