Hi! It’s Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here with a post-Thanksgiving Layout featuring the ThankFULL Theme Pack from Creative Memories! I know I’ve said it before, but I love Theme Packs: they’ve got plenty of supplies to create a few thematic layouts, but not so many that you have leftovers like you would from a full collection. They are available for lots of different themes and occasions, and the price point can’t be beat – just $12.00 (CA) for four sheets of double sided paper, one sheet of coordinating cardstock plus sticker embellishments! ThankFULL was one of the first Theme Packs Creative Memories introduced last fall, but it’s still one of my favorites with its slightly non-traditional colour scheme, cute stickers and great cut-apart sheet! I used photos from last Thanksgiving for this pretty layout, choosing one 6” x 4” and printing two other landscape photos in 4” x 3” size. I love how the more subdued neutral colours of the ThankFULL Theme Pack work with almost any colour scheme. And, I love that with the exception of adhesive and tools, everything I used for my layout is included in the kit! To make the layout I first cut a 12” x 6” strip from the aqua striped paper with the 12” Trimmer and adhered it slightly below the middle of the Cream Cardstock base page with Tape Runner Adhesive. Then I cut a 12” x 1” strip from the teal wishbone paper and adhered it just above the aqua paper piece.
Next I used the Original Border Maker System and the Dips and Diamonds Border Maker Cartridge (which is one of the choices for your additional cartridge when you purchase the Border Maker System!) to punch a border from the green plaid paper and trimmed it down to approximately 1”. I used the Repositionable Tape Runner Adhesive to adhere it below the aqua paper piece because it is fantastic for working with intricate punched or die-cut pieces.
I matted my large photo with the teal wishbone paper so it would stand out on top of the green plaid border, and then matted the two smaller photos with the green plaid paper so they would contrast with the nearby teal wishbone strip.
I cut the “I’m thankful for…” journal card, and the pumpkin trio with banner from the cut-apart sheet with the Micro-Tip Scissors and layered them to create a journal/embellishment cluster beside the 6” x 4” photo. I kept a small border of the teal background around the banner and added two Kraft Photo Corners at the top of the journal card to help it stand out from the background. I journaled with the Brown Dual-Tip Pen*, added some randomly sized dots to create some texture and placed a few stickers to finish this cluster. (*Although I used the Brown Dual-Tip Pen here, the NEW Chocolate Dot Pen would also work beautifully, and would create an even wider variety of perfect dots on your layout!) I added small embellishment clusters to the top and bottom of the layout, layering various shape and word stickers with adhesive Foam Squares for a little dimension, and created more dotty texture with the pen on and around the clusters. A row of dots around the outside edges of the layout provides a homey finishing touch. If you are in Canada, I hope you give this easy layout a try using your recent Thanksgiving photos. And for our friends in the US can tuck this idea away to use with your Thanksgiving photos later in November! No matter when you celebrate, I think you’ll find that the ThankFULL Theme Pack is perfect to document all you give thanks for!
Have a wonderful day everyone!
