Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! For today’s blog post, I’m sharing with you how to create this Grow Art Journal Page using a variety of products from Ranger Ink and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my art journal page at home. To start, you’ll need to grab your Art Journal.
I’m using Dina Wakley’s 6×6 White Art Journal from Ranger Ink.
Choose one of the pages and use Dina Wakley White Gesso from Ranger Ink to cover the page.
Next you’ll need Dina Wakley Acrylic Heavy Body Paint in Blushing and Fuchsia from Ranger Ink.
Apply the two colours of paint to the page as desired with a paintbrush. I have the colour primarily in the middle of the page.
Next, you’ll need the Textures Stamp Set from Ranger Ink.
Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the circle stamp and stamp randomly on the page five times. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the script stamp and stamp randomly on the page seven times. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed.
Using a Black Soot Distress Crayon from Ranger Ink, rub it around all of the sides of the page.
Next you’ll need the Chipboard Shapes – Basics from Ranger Ink.
Choose one of the shapes. Paint Dina Wakley Heavy Acrylic Paint in Carnation from Ranger Ink on the shape.
Once the paint has dried, rub Black Soot Distress Crayon from Ranger Ink around the edge of the heart.
Out of the Scribbled Branches Stamp Set from Ranger Ink, you’ll need three of the branches.
Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to all three branches and stamp the stamps on a piece of Cotton Watercolor Paper from Ranger Ink.
Colour the branches using a waterbrush and Scribble Sticks 1,2&3 from Ranger Ink.
Once the branches have dried, fussy cut them out. Ink the edges of all three branches using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Next, you’ll need the small flower out of the Good Idea Stamp Set from Ranger Ink.
Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the small flower and stamp onto a piece of Cotton Watercolor Paper from Ranger Ink. Repeat the previous step two more times. Colour the flowers using a waterbrush and Scribble Sticks 1,2&3 from Ranger Ink. Once the flowers have dried, fussy cut them out. Ink the edges of all three flowers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Out of the Ledger Girls Stamp Set from Ranger Ink, you’ll need one of the girls and one of the quotes.
Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the girl as well as the quote and stamp the stamps on a piece of Cotton Watercolor Paper from Ranger Ink. Colour the girl in using a waterbrush and Scribble Sticks 1,2&3 from Ranger Ink. Once the girl and quote have dried, fussy cut the girl out and cut the quote into four strips. Ink the edges of all the girl and the four-word strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
Next, you’ll need the letters to spell out Grow out of the Block Alphas Stamp Set from Ranger Ink.
Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the letters and stamp onto a piece of Cotton Watercolor Paper from Ranger Ink. Cut out the letters. Ink the edges of the letters using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.
