Hi there! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share a layout featuring a favorite saying and sweet photos of my son Grayson when he was just a chubby little guy! I used Creative Memories “Outta This World” Collection which is a kid’s space-themed collection for this layout. The combination of bright and pastel tones will work for layouts featuring all your little astronauts’ adventures! The Stickers and Foiled Embellishments are so whimsical and fun, and when I saw the “I Love You to the Moon and Back” word sticker I knew I wanted to use it on a layout for Grayson’s baby album. I vividly remember reading the sweet little book “Guess How Much I Love You?” to him when he was a baby, and for me (like so many parents!) the phrase “I love you to the moon and back” was an everyday expression of the boundless love I felt for my little one.
I also wanted to use the new Circle Cutter, which cuts and draws circles from 3” to 11.75” with ease! First I cut out several circles from various papers in the Outta This World Paper Pack that worked with the colors in my photos. The Circle Cutter works a bit like a math protractor: start by lining the black line with the desired dimension marked in white on the Circle Cutter housing. Place the cutter on the paper and press the blue dome on top of the sizing dial to hold it in place – the blade will rotate around this dome. Use your other hand to press the white button on blade to engage it then rotate the blade housing around to cut out the circle. (ie: In the photo below I’m cutting out a 3” circle) All together I cut out two 5” circles, two 4” circles and four 3” circles from the various papers. I arranged the circles in a diagonal across the Navy Cardstock base, overlapping them and allowing some circles to go off the edge. I trimmed off the overhang with my All-Purpose Scissors. I matted two 6” x 4” photos with more of the yellow patterned paper and arranged them to be slightly off center on top of the circles. Since the title sticker was a bit small, I created a mat for it with the same orange patterned paper using the Custom Cutting System Oval Templates (inside of second largest Oval with Red Blade). I added the matted title sticker and several other cute embellishments with Foam Squares Adhesive to give them some dimension, and placed two trimmed squiggly, starry border stickers near the top and bottom of the layout. I wrote some brief journaling with the Silver Metallic Dual-Tip Pen along the outside edge of each photo to finish off the layout. Here is a closer look at some details: I’m just tickled at how cute this layout turned out! I love that little teddy-bear astronaut and the rocket ship soaring towards the laughing moon!
