Hey there! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to show you a step-by step, super-fast layout using the beautiful It’s Fall, Y’all Collection from Creative Memories! I shared a double page layout using this same collection last month, but I’m still in a Fall mood since it has been such a lovely Autumn where I live! But, I only have a few sheets of this fantastic collection left so I’m making the most of it – and my time! – with a quick and easy 5 Step – 5 Minute Single Page Layout.
Step 1: Pick your papers – I chose the cute pumpkin paper from the It’s Fall, Y’all Paper Pack and a piece from the coordinating Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack for my base page. Cut two 8” x 3” strips of the patterned paper and adhere them along the right-hand edge of the base page at top and bottom. Add a 4” x 6” card from the Variety Mat Pack with a word-art design along the left-hand edge of the base page between the two patterned paper strips to act as your title. Step 2: Add two 4” x 6” photos or photo mats/place holders in the space between the strips. I like to add a contrasting mat cut and cut everything slightly smaller than 4” x 6” so the patterned paper base page peeks through, but to make this an even quicker page, simply adhere your unmatted 4” x 6” photos directly to the page, filling all the space.
Step 3: Add one of the beautiful Laser-Cut Borders across the bottom of the photos. You could also use a sticker border or punch a border using the Original Border Maker System with the Cartridge of your choice if you have a few extra minutes.
Step 4: Adhere a “bed” of die-cut leaves from the Embellishment Pack at the intersections between the patterned paper strips and the Variety Mat Pack title card. Curl or fold up the edges of the leaves to give them a little dimension – these die-cuts are large and sturdy and will hold the fold well.
Step 5: Finish off the two clusters by adding pumpkin die-cuts, popping them up from their bed of leaves with Foam Squares Adhesive for even more dimension. Scatter a few of the self-adhesive faux enamel dots from the Embellishment Pack around the die-cuts. Tip: The flat edge of the Multi-Purpose Tool makes it really easy to place the dots exactly where you want them!
That’s it! Of course, you can journal or add more embellishments if you like, but these five easy steps will give you a pretty and polished page in just about five minutes!
You can use this 5 Step – 5 Minute technique with any patterned paper and coordinating embellishments, but I hope you get a chance to use the It’s Fall, Y’all Collection before the Autumn is gone! Happy Scrapping!
Happy Fall and Happy Scrapping!
