Hi there! Noreen here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com sharing a sweet baby scrapbook layout idea with you using Creative Memories newest addition – the Lullaby Lane Collection!
Inspired by the cute one-piece jammies embellishments and images in the collection, I couldn’t resist creating a full page one-piece that acts as both a design element and a “frame” for photos of my youngest son Sam when he was just a tiny newborn! (Oh the memories working with these photos brought back!) Although my babies are teenagers now, I can’t help fall in love with each and every new baby collection that CM offers. This one is particularly lovely – the three Paper Packs feature a sophisticated color scheme that not only works for baby boy, girl and gender-neutral projects, but also for grown-up boy, girl and gender-neutral projects! LOVE it! There are also two gorgeous, foiled Albums, Fast2Fab Refill Pages, Stickers, Die-Cut Embellishments and a Variety Mat Cards to round out this collection. To make the one-piece jammies shown, cut a 9” x 11” piece of double-sided patterned paper with the 12” Trimmer. Save the pieces that were trimmed off to punch a border strip from later. With a ruler and pencil, mark the following measurements on the paper:

• Across the top of paper, mark at 2” in from both sides (2” and 7”) and mark the centre (4.5”).
• One each side, mark 1.5” and 3.5” down from top edge.
• Then, measure in 1.5” from each of the 3.5” marks on the side and make another mark. Use the ruler and pencil to lightly connect the marks as shown below. Cut between marks (or along pencil lines with the 12” Trimmer or with All-Purpose Scissors to get the base shape of the jammies. It will look like a tee shirt right now, so next cut out the neckline and leg holes on the jammies. Use the bottom curve of the small Heart from the Gemstone Custom Cutting Templates with the Red Blade to cut a scoop neckline from the top edge of the tee shape. TIP: Line up the centre point of the Heart Template with the mark you made earlier in the centre of the top edge of the paper.

Turn the same Heart Template sideways and line up the point with the bottom edge of the paper to cut and create the leg holes with the Red Blade. Flip it over and repeat the cut on the opposite side for the other leg hole. Next use the same Heart Template and Red Blade to cut two Hearts from the “body” of the jammies. Save the hearts that are cut out and flip them over to show the pattern on the reverse side. These will be used to create the base for the title and embellishment clusters! Use the Original Border Maker System and the Mirrored Scallops Chain Border Maker Cartridge to punch one border strip from the patterned paper strip saved from step 1. Flip it over to show the pattern on the reverse side, and cut it in half to have two long, skinny borders. Using Repositionable Adhesive, adhere a length of border along the neckline, arms and leg holes of the jammies, bending it and wrapping it around the curved edges as needed. Cut off overhang. I love how this resembles the crochet thread trim that many baby garments have! So sweet! Once the trim on the jammies is done, place two photos behind the open hearts on the body of the jammies and adhere to base page. Add the paper hearts that were cut out along with a title and other embellishments beside the jammies as shown. Finish by writing some journaling directly on the page with a Black Dual-Tip Pen. Here’s a closer look at some of the finished details. I hope you give this technique a try and make a cute jammies page for your little one!
