Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Today, I’m sharing a beautiful Wish Card tutorial featuring the Simply Stated Design Vintage Chic Collection.Along with Super Stock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine, and adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. This step-by-step guide will help you create your own elegant, vintage-inspired card at home.
Step 1: Prepare Your Papers
To start, you’ll need Vintage Chic Paper 1, Vintage Chic Paper 7, and Vintage Chic Paper 5 from Simply Stated Design.
- Cut Vintage Chic Paper 7 to 4 ¾” x 6 ¾”.
- Cut Vintage Chic Paper 1 to 4 ½” x 6 ½”.
- Cut Vintage Chic Paper 5 to 4” x 6”.
- Sand the edges of all three papers.

Step 2: Add a Layered Base
- Cut Vintage Chic Solid Paper 6 to 4 ¼” x 6 ¼” and sand the edges.
Step 3: Select Your Frame
- Choose a white square frame from the Vintage Chic Frames Ephemera collection.
- Fussy cut around the frame if desired.
Step 4: Cut Out the Decorative Elements
- Select the birdcage from the Vintage Chic Ephemera and fussy cut if needed.
- Pick a large and small floral bunch from the Vintage Chic Floral Ephemera collection and fussy cut.
- Choose a small white moth from the Vintage Chic Moths Ephemera collection and fussy cut.
Step 5: Choose Sentiments and Tags
- Select the blue tag, yellow tab, and ‘Wish’ sentiment from the Vintage Chic Essentials Ephemera collection.
Step 6: Assemble the Card Layers
- Use E-Z Runner to adhere the striped paper to the yellow/white paper.
- Layer the grey solid paper on top, followed by the pink paper.
Step 7: Position the Frame and Tag
- Use 3D Foam Squares to add dimension to the tag and adhere it to the pink paper.
- Place the frame slightly to the left using E-Z Runner and foam squares.
Step 8: Add Floral and Moth Embellishments
- Adhere the large floral bunch using foam squares for depth.
- Position the small floral bunch at the bottom right corner of the tag.
- Attach the moth at an angle.
Step 9: Attach the Birdcage and Sentiment
- Adhere the birdcage near the bottom right corner.
- Use E-Z Runner and foam squares to attach the ‘Wish’ sentiment.
Step 10: Assemble the Final Card
- Cut a 7” x 10” card base from Super Stock and score at 5”.
- Adhere the card front to the card base using E-Z Runner.
