Happy December! How did we get to the 11th already??? Less than two more weeks and we get to Winter Solstice…I crave the daylight coming back to us! Those celebrating Christmas are surely getting organized and decorating for the season, I love driving home and seeing all the lights! To our Jewish readers, I hope your Hanukkah celebrations were wonderful! ‘Tis the  season of celebration for so many of us…busy, busy times! I hope you can take a moment to quiet your schedule and join us with another creative space share! Jamie Hansen is opening her doors for us to peek  inside! My space started to come to life about 8 years ago as my husband and I started our log home building journey. It was mentioned once along the way that the space would be the master bedroom; and with a loud laugh and a turn of the…

It’s another WHERE YOU CREATE Friday! We have a great space to share with you today with lots of pictures! Terri Kocher has been kind enough to let us in and tell us about her space! Enjoy the view and leave a kind word or two in the messages is you are inclined to do so, we love when you interact with us! I have recently been laid off of my job as an office manager and have taken up crafting as a hopeful, full-time job.  I am a CTMH consultant and am currently developing designs for workshops. I have made a couple of scrap books, but get overwhelmed by what I haven’t done, so I make cards. I love the [almost] instant gratification I get from making cards.  I am honoured to be a small part of my client’s special occasions. It makes my heart happy. When I first started crafting,…

Happy Friday! Look at us already almost half way through November. Despite our darker days, time seems to speed up from now until New Year’s Day! Funny to think time stopped as a child waiting for Christmas to come…as a parent I’d LOVE to cash in a few extra bonus days just to get things ready! Before our brains start working overtime…let’s take some time to visit a gorgeous creative space! Sharon Colpitts has been kind enough to let us in; you are going to love her bright space! I wanted to show you where I create in my home.    After my kids moved out, I took over the “Great Room” space on our top floor.  It’s not quite big enough to fit all my “stuff” but it’s perfect for most things I use, it’s bright and open and it’s all mine.  I have been scrapbooking for about…

It’s the Friday before Halloween! Are your ghouls and goblins ready? Isn’t it wonderful when Halloween falls on the weekend? Less stress and so much more fun for everyone! This week we are taking WHERE YOU CREATE to the Netherlands! I love when our international friends share with us! Let’s all THANK Margo for letting us into her creative space! “Dank u voor ons te laten in uw creatieve ruimte”! Through the magic of an online translator…I hope we got that right…I think Margo’s English is much better than my Dutch! Hi I am Margo Feijen; I live in the small village of Nederweert in the Netherlands. Five years ago I started making cards and scrapbooks. Now; five years later I have my own scraproom. The room…I painted in pink and black with a wooden floor. I now have everything clear and I get so much joy from scrapbooking. Pease see my blog  …

Here we are…October 16th! Did everyone survive the Thanksgiving long weekend? Hopefully the weekend was spent with family and friends; sharing laughs and good food! I think I have enough turkey in my system now to hold me until Christmas, which sadly will be here before we know it! Today, Roxanne Morley Anderson is sharing pictures of her wonderful storage units…she definitely has a place for everything! Hi Kim! Here are a few detail shots of my craft studio. My Pax cupboard from IKEA holds a ton of my supplies. My wood stamps are displayed in a rotating cupboard that I “snagged” from an upscale shop that closed down. I added all the shelves. It’s wonderful to be able to see all your stamps and markers! I keep all my sprays in an altered kid’s shelf. It was blue, red and yellow before I covered it with Graphic 45 steampunk…

Here we are…October! The seasons have most definitely changed. Though it saddens me that winter follows so quickly, I adore this time of year…the colours, the crispness of the air, cozy sweaters and scarves; not to mention Thanksgiving and Halloween! Embrace this awesome month and spend some time creating! This week we are in Candace Bernier’s craft room. A gorgeous space in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan! I love your magazine; every time I see it in the drugstore I grab a copy!  I hosted a wedding shower a while back and cleaned my scrapbook room from top to bottom; invariably a guest would want to see it. We built our house several years ago. I was lucky enough to be able to customize a room to suit my scrapbooking and painting needs.  My favourite part is the two big windows; which let in so much natural light. The wall unit was custom built,…

September is whizzing by!  Kids are back in school, extra curricular sports are getting started and I have bought my first Christmas present! I know from now until the New Year, the days and weeks will come and go in a flash. May you find time in your busy schedule to hunker into your creative space and enjoy the process we love so much! Today I am sharing some pictures sent to me by “Linda”. She briefly shares: “From disorder to peaceful working space. Now when I go into the workspace I am motivated and organized. Here are a few of the sections in my scrapbooking room.” Thanks Linda for sharing your awesome space, I can see why it motivates you to scrapbook!

Wow! It’s amazing how one week can quickly change summer to autumn. I could sense the change while driving to work this week; air was crisp, leaves are starting to change, sun sits in the sky lower and of course school buses and kids were out and about. Our kids started school this week, many won’t start until after Labour Day weekend…as it should be! Summer is too short in Canada to go back before then! This week’s creative space comes to us from Tami Wesselink of  Worthington, Minnesota! I LOVE when our friends south of the border participate on our social media sites and and share with us here on the blog! We have awesome neighbours! Thanks Tami for sharing your awesome storage ideas with us and thanks for being part of our scrapbooking community.

So here we are…the last Friday in August! Where did the time go? I hope you made some great memories with your family this summer. Let’s hope for lots of nice weather in our near future! Starting next week, our school aged kids will start to trickle back into the school system; some not until after Labour Day weekend. Regardless, we will hear the moaning of kids all over Canada as we pull the out of bed EARLY! Have fun with THAT!!! This week Cindy Allen lets us peek into her creative space… I have been scrapbooking for 10 years. During this time I have scrapbooked in my dining room, kitchen and pretty much where ever I could find a spot!  My husband and I have been at this home for two years. When we first saw it, I noticed the room off the living room and knew it would…

Friday, August 14th already! How did that happen! Soak in your summer days before getting the kids ready for a new school year…there’s still LOTS of time for summer fun and making scrapbooking memories! This week we will visit Judi Cruickshank’s creative space in Owen Sound, Ontario! Let’s take a quick peek into her space. You will LOVE all the cabinets she has for organizing her stash! Here are some photos of my craft room!  My husband Bill and I created it just before I retired and I have gotten so much enjoyment from scrapping in my personal, organized space!  My granddaughters, girls, and my best friend Laurie also enjoy it so much! Thanks Judi for letting us in, it’s a great space for scrapbooking and spending time with your family and friends! LOVING all of your storage!
