Hello again, Nicole here and I am back to share this woody tag I made to show off the Sizzix Evergreen die. I love to get the most out of my dies and think of different ways I can use them. I love to create layers and texture along the way. I spritzed watercolor paper water then sprayed Ranger Distress Spray Stain peeled paint, lucky clover and twisted citron. I cut the greens from the tattered pinecone die and added a few forest moss Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock greens too. Then I glued them all to a piece of matboard then ran it through on the Evergreen die. Creating this 3D Tree. I stamped the Kraft tag with using picket fence distress paint then inked the edges with ground espresso. Today on our blog, Kerry Engel is sharing some beautiful watercolour effects on her scrapbook page using Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I love making my own embellishments. This layout began with a doodled flower that I created last summer. I actually have a stash of Tombow flowers just waiting for a story that needs telling (and embellishing). It’s so easy to make your own embellishments with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. In this layout I used the Tombows to create the following accents: 1. Journaling strips 2. Watercoloured flowers 3. Hand lettered title. Make your own customized journaling strips 1. Layer different colors of Tombow ink on watercolour or mixed media paper. 2. Wash with water to create an ombre, watercolour effect. 3. Let it dry then run it through a printer. The first time round I cut the paper into thin journaling strips. Stamping Wood Slices Hello. Good morning Jack Frost. Hello world! It wasn’t until December that it arrived, but the snow has fallen in Newfoundland and will undoubtedly remain until long into Spring. If you are like me, you are enjoying the Season already as you trim the tree, attend parades, dance at the office holiday parties and, of course, send out a gazillion Christmas and holiday cards. But I quite like it. The cold invites me to stay inside next to my fireplace and craft the night away. I created this card with a new fancy die called Sleigh Rides created by Stampin’ Up! as well as the Softly Falling Textured embossing folder (a must get). It was easy, not to mention gorgeous. All the wine is ready to be delivered and I am just getting my bottle tags ready to identify their new owners. wink I love how these turned out and wanted to share them with you! I thought they’d be FABULOUS for those of you who take a bottle of wine as hostess gifts during the holiday season. I made my Bottle Tags a wine theme but they could just as easily be created with a Christmas or Hanukkah theme as well! The bottle tags were made using my Brother ScanNCut machine.
