Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Kim here today; with a layout created with all thing Close To My Heart! I used our September Sketchy Challenge as a starting point for my layout, Kelly continues to come up with brilliant designs for our monthly challenge. I used the cardstock from the CTMH Adventure Combo Pack, patterned paper from the CTMH Adventure Fundamentals as well stickers, stamps, ink and the newest CTMH Cricut cartridge βFlower Marketβ. These flower embellishments were cut and layered using a design from CTMH Flower Market Cricut cartridge. There are so many fun images on this cartridge, I know it will become a well-loved addition to my stash. If you didnβt already know, Creative Scrapbooker Magazine is hosting a give-away for anyone posting a layout, inspired by one of our sketches, to the NEW Sketchy Gallery. Upload your layout before midnight on November 31, 2016 for your chance to win.…
Today I am sharing some items I made using the new Jeepers Creepers paper packet from Close To My Heart! I happened to have recently purchased a pencil that came in a little test tube style container from Staples, an office supply store.Β Part of the proceeds from these pencils go towards βMe To Weβ (formerly known as Free The Children), which was a program my son got involved in a couple of years ago through the middle school he was attending at the time. Anyways, back to a closer look at my little projectβ¦ Cute, right?Β The test tube could be filled with little candies, too.Β And donβt you just love the little bats?Β I cut them out using Black Glitter Paper and the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge, both from Close To My Heart.Β For the test tube holder, I found instructions to make it here at Splitcoaststampers:Β http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/testtubeholder/ The…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with two simple shimmery cards featuring Always and Forever, two of the new dies released by Elizabeth Craft Designs and designed by Suzanne Cannon of Quietfire Design. Β You can use them separately as I did here, put them together with an ampersand or add hearts from the Calligraphic Elements 2 dies. Β These would be great for wedding or anniversary cards. These were very simple to make but I love the way they turned out. Β I started by dabbing Izink pigment ink (manufactured by Aladine and distributed through Clearsnap) through an Elizabeth Craft Designs stencil to make the ‘patterned’ paper. Β You could use any ink but I love the shimmer and the gorgeous colour of the Izink ink. Β Β Β Then, I dry embossed Shimmer Sheetz with a Close to My Heart embossing folder to give the sheetz some pattern and texture. Β The CTMH embossing…

Hi! Kim here with another Sketchy Challenge completed! I am all caught up and readyΒ for the August reveal! Here is the July Sketchy Challenge that inspired my layout! I chose to rotate it and work vertical! All patterned papers are from Close To My Heartβs [CTMH] Georgie Workshop to go. I have also used cardstock and ink from CTMHβs product line, everything plays so nice together when it comes from the same company! Several adhesives from Scrapbooking Adhesives by 3L keeps everything together. The following pictures are some close ups of some of the embellishments I cut using CTMHβs Artistry Cricut Cartridge. This is such an amazing cartridge of images, there is something for every possible occasion or event. It is one of my most used cartridges, followed closely by all of CTMHβs cartridges. Hello, Connie Nichol here today with an easy layout about one of my favourite flowers. Β Oh, how I adore the smell of these tiny flowers which appear reliably in my flower bed every May. Β Lily of the Valley plants can spread quite aggressively so I keep them segregated in their own flower bed on a shady side of the garage. Β I was inspired to create this layout by the new Elizabeth Craft Designs 4 seasons words dies and a most beautiful lily of the valley cut file from Quietfire Design. I cut the lily of the valley embellishments out of CTMH cardstock with my Sizzix Eclips2 electronic die cutting machine. Β The CTMH cardstock cuts beautifully, it is just the right weight. The page background is made by spritzing some Clearsnap Silver Foil Smooch Spritz over a Crafter’s Workshop template. The title is cut out with several Elizabeth Craft Designs…

Hi there, Connie Nichol here with a scrapbook page featuring the CTMH Stuck on You stamps andΒ matchingΒ thin cuts metal dies. The Stuck on You sets are available in the CTMH seasonal catalogue, but only until April 30, so grab them now before they are gone forever. Β The stamps are so darn cute and the matching dies make it so easy to create a whole forest of cacti. Β Use them to make a lovely card, or embellish a scrapbook layout. Β The cacti are perfect for accenting any photos from a desert location, and I was lucky enough to travel to Phoenix for a few days last year. Β I might have taken a few (i.e. hundreds) of photographs at the Desert Botanical Garden when I was there. Β I was so happy to see this roadrunner. Β Such a neat looking bird. Β Unfortunately for me, the roadrunner song from Bugs Bunny and Wile E…
