Hello, Connie Nichol here with a Halloween project featuring the Happy Haunting Collection from Simple Stories and two stamp sets from Quietfire Design. My oldest son went through the ‘ghoul’ phase when he was 9 and 10 – he wanted only to be a scary masked ghoul with a weapon. The scarier looking the weapon, the better. Sigh. Gone were the cute animal or super hero costumes. Here’s the Simple Stories mini-kit I used: This is such a great kit! Six sheets of double sided patterned paper and a 6×12 sheet of cardstock stickers is the perfect size to create a handful of Halloween layouts and cards without being overwhelmed. Hey Crafters, Nicole Wright here and I’m back to share my love for industrial crafting. With the new Sizzix Gears available I decided to haul out my Sizzix Gadget Gears die (I believe the first Sizzix die I ever bought) and have a little fun experimenting with my embossing powders and distress crayons. I cut a set of Gadget Gears with Sizzix Little Sizzles White Mat Board. I heat embossed a coat of Emerald Creek Craft Supplies Era Hammered Metal Embossing Powder. This thick powder leaves open spots to add color. I wanted to see if the distress crayons would work to create a weathered patina on the gears. On the set of gears I used Ranger distress crayons vintage photo, mermaid lagoon, peacock feathers and peeled paint. The distress crayons fill in the areas the thick embossing powders don’t. Once the colors are filled in I used a baby wipe to remove…

I used our September Sketchy Challenge as a starting point for my layout, Kelly continues to come up with brilliant designs for our monthly challenge. I used the cardstock from the CTMH Adventure Combo Pack, patterned paper from the CTMH Adventure Fundamentals as well stickers, stamps, ink and the newest CTMH Cricut cartridge ‘Flower Market’. These flower embellishments were cut and layered using a design from CTMH Flower Market Cricut cartridge. There are so many fun images on this cartridge, I know it will become a well-loved addition to my stash. I LOVE working with fall colours! Who’s with me?? SUPPLIES: Bo Bunny patterned paper, buttons, chipboard, brads, film sticker and cardstock, Tombow Dual Brush pen, Stamp Runner and Xtreme Adhesive, Clearsnap ColorBox Spritzers and ink, May Arts Ribbon I used the Bo Bunny Take a Hike collection. The warm earthy tones, that work with practically any type of photo. My layout today, focuses on one special photo. So I created a base of lots of layers of pattern and texture to showcase that special photo. Along the top border of patterned paper I added a line of coordinating decorative brads, for some additional texture.
