Here is a blog post from Christy from a few years ago for you to enjoy. Written in Christy’s words. The other day I was working on this layout with the fabulous paper and embellishments from FarmHouse Paper company and May Arts ribbon and I really felt like the beautiful rustic quality needed to be accented and off set with a little glitter. Perplexed with how to add it, I decided not to over think it and grabbed my trusty ย Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L ย tape runner and added stripes of the tape runner over the paper. I then poured Craft& Glitz Glamour Glitter all over the tape and burnished it with my finger. I poured off the excess glitter and my paper was ready to build my layout on top off. The glittery stripes add a great level of texture and interest. This simple technique, done with a versatile adhesive…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with two simple shimmery cards featuring Always and Forever, two of the new dies released by Elizabeth Craft Designs and designed by Suzanne Cannon of Quietfire Design. ย You can use them separately as I did here, put them together with an ampersand or add hearts from the Calligraphic Elements 2 dies. ย These would be great for wedding or anniversary cards. These were very simple to make but I love the way they turned out. ย I started by dabbing Izink pigment ink (manufactured by Aladine and distributed through Clearsnap) through an Elizabeth Craft Designs stencil to make the ‘patterned’ paper. ย You could use any ink but I love the shimmer and the gorgeous colour of the Izink ink. ย ย ย Then, I dry embossed Shimmer Sheetz with a Close to My Heart embossing folder to give the sheetz some pattern and texture. ย The CTMH embossing…
