Now, if this layout designed by Desiree Saskiw could speak it would say SUNSHINE and HAPPINESS! Am I right or am I right?What a beautiful bright happy design. Desiree built the background starting with a white piece of heavy white Super Stock and then started adding layers of different types of texture. One of the elements that really jumps out on this layout for me are the FOILS! They are all the rage right now and can be a bit overwhelming. In the Fall issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine you will find an ENTIRE gallery of projects that are inspired by painter extraordinaire Vincent Van Gogh. From sunflowers, to swirls, to florals and more – this gallery is a reflection and celebration of his style and will absolutely inspire you! Here is one of the projects that were published in our Inspired by Van Gogh feature designed by Desiree Saskiw. Desiree created the starry night background of her layout using the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Layering Stencils. Both the hocus pocus and sparkle stencils. I seriously love how this turned out. Is there really anything better than a clear blue sky, crisp green golf greens and good friends? Well actually, this layout designed by Desiree Saskiw for our Summer issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine celebrates all those things AND is a gorgeous design! Desiree used the Carta Bella Paper Co. Summer Collection to design the layout. Including stickers from the coordinating Summer collection sticker book. Man these sticker books ARE totally worth EVERY PENNY! See those “FERNS” at the top of Desiree’s layout and down the sides? Desiree used the Stamp Anniething Tiki Builder Stencil to create them. Meant for a Tiki Bar – PERFECT for a golf themed layout! Remember to always look outside the box with your supplies. THEMES may only be a suggestion. I am IN LOVE with how Desiree Saskiw designed this layout. It is brilliant! The cut out photo, the stamped eye, the doodling, the flowers in her hair and that stunning background. And the quote is perfect. Every once in awhile a layout stops you in your tracks…this one did it for me. If you are wondering – those funky stamps are from Ranger – their Dylusions collection. Desiree’s layout was one of MANY projects that were featured in the Summer 2021 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine in an INSPIRED by MEXICO gallery. Aladine Izink distributed by Clearsnap

These bottles filled with vibrant pigment ink have been showing up on all our Design Team projects! Here Desiree Saskiw has used citronella coloured Aladine Izink distributed by Clearsnap to create a bright journaling block in the center of her layout. She then added her journaling and doodled frame using a black Creative Memories black Dual-Tip pen. All those little chipboard elements are stuck on her layout using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Dodz.
