FREE Cut File by Creative Geek Design

Hello festive crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here and today I have a holiday themed layout to share featuring a fabulous cut file designed by Creative Geek Design (CLICK HERE to download). Along with my Brother ScanNCut! AND the Simple Stories Simple Vintage North Pole Collection. I love how this fun layout turned out! First I created a simple layered background using patterned paper, grey and white cardstock. I then converted my cut file for my and cut it at about 11” from white cardstock. I used patterned paper, kraft cardstock and Luxe Gold Cardstock to fill the sections of the cut file. Then adhered all of the pieces using the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Adhere the wreath to the layered background. Then mat the 4×6 photo in white cardstock and add gold photo corners. Cut a couple of smaller pieces of coordinating patterned paper. Goodbye Fussy Cutting – HELLO Brother ScanNCut!

I know I have said this before – and I am just going to keep saying it again and again – the ability to scan a ton of images and then cut them out with a border the size you want or no border at all – IS A GAME CHANGER! GOODBYE fussy cutting I say! And that is exactly my favourite element of the Brother ScanNCut! Check out this card that Kerry Engel put together. All those little people and houses were created using these stamp sets by Therm O Web Laura Kelly. Kerry stamped these images on a piece of cardstock, scanned them into her Brother ScanNCut. Then cut them all out! You can change the sizes of the images once they are scanned. You can cut them out with a border or with no border. You can cut out WAY more than you need and have them…

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with my Brother ScanNCut electronic cutting machine. Stickers, gotta love ‘em. They are the backbone of contemporary scrapbooking. They really deserve a shout-out for the role they play in helping us to tell our stories in our scrapbooks. Twenty-three years ago when I started scrapbooking it was all about adding stickers to your pages and they still play a pivotal role in my creative expressions. That said, stickers can do more than stick, they can be very versatile. I have a sticker hack for creating next-level stickers. Here’s how I create my own sturdier ‘cardstock’ elements from stickers, to help me to create design clusters that really pop.
