Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. The Kraft Slimline Toner Card Fronts from Therm O Web are the perfect substrate for some good old grunge. The kraft paper withstands embossing, folding, and inking like a champ. The Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Opal is mysteriously different depending on how it was used. On the black toner front, it is moody but when used with the Therm O Web iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco, it looks like pearls. Layers of collaging help to create the perfect mixed media card. Girlfriends Make the Best Accessories with Kerry Engel

Art Impressions stamps capture real life for so many women. The confident ladies strutting their stuff in the Girlfriends Make the Best Accessories stamp reminds me of me and my friends when we go for lunch. I wanted to make the ladies a bit glitzy so I used the paper piecing technique on their sunglasses and purses. A little glitter goes a long way! I also tried something different for me, I applied Ranger Tim Holtz Oxide inks onto foiled Therm O Web Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates paper. It turned out really well. The inked and foiled background looks like a Vegas night sky. Here’s how I created this look: 1. Stamp the Art Impressions Girlfriend stamp on watercolor paper and fussy-cut the ladies. 2. Shaker Cards with Foils by Kerry Engel

Happy Sunday everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog creating a shiny SHAKER card. I’m still relatively new to stamping and card making. I tend to go all in and try to use as many products as I can. Thankfully, Therm O Web understands and always has amazing corresponding products that feed my need for “lots of details”. Their Gina K. Designs Premium cardstock has been a game-changer for me; it’s smooth, high-quality finish has helped to elevate my stamping and embossing…and then they have foil – how did I ever create without foil before? Here is how I created this very happy, shiny shaker card: Step 1- STAMP Stamp the sentiment, “Thanks Snow Much”. Stamp and emboss snowflakes with Gina K. Designs Baby, it’s Cold Outside stamps. I used Clearsnap, Top Boss, ink and silver embossing powder. Step 2 – FOIL Using a laminator add Gina K. Designs…
