Now, if this layout designed by Desiree Saskiw could speak it would say SUNSHINE and HAPPINESS! Am I right or am I right? What a beautiful bright happy design. Desiree built the background starting with a white piece of heavy white Super Stock and then started adding layers of different types of texture. One of the elements that really jumps out on this layout for me are the FOILS! They are all the rage right now and can be a bit overwhelming. Whether you are just starting out OR are a seasoned “foiler” be sure to reach for Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo. This fabulous medium allows you to add foils to your projects WITH or WITHOUT heat! Come again?!?!?!?!?! Love that versatility! Hello everyone – Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. The Kraft Slimline Toner Card Fronts from Therm O Web are the perfect substrate for some good old grunge. The kraft paper withstands embossing, folding, and inking like a champ. The Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Opal is mysteriously different depending on how it was used. On the black toner front, it is moody but when used with the Therm O Web iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco, it looks like pearls. Layers of collaging help to create the perfect mixed media card. Here are the steps to create this gorgeous card! FOIL AND EMBOSS The top layer of this card was made by adding Therm O Web Deco Foil Transfer Sheets in Opal to a Slimline Foil Toner Card Front and then running the card through an embossing folder. I used the Bouquet…
Do you remember paper-tole from the 80’s? It was a very fussy art form that involved layering identical prints to build a 3D pictures. I love to make dimensional cards and there is a quicker and easier way to get a suede-paper-tole look and not waste anything! How to make two 3-dimensional cards at once: leave one Therm O Web Deco Foil Toner Card Front intact. use a second Therm O Web Deco Foil Toner Card Front to cut out a large flower for a 3D flower. layer the remaining pieces of the second card to build a stunning 3D floral cluster. Foiling made easy: Therm O Web Deco Foil has partnered with Unity Stamp Co. to create an exclusive line of Toner Card Fronts. The Toner Card front is made for foiling. You can have a lot of fun changing up the foil colours but for this set, I…
Art Impressions stamps capture real life for so many women. The confident ladies strutting their stuff in the Girlfriends Make the Best Accessories stamp reminds me of me and my friends when we go for lunch. I wanted to make the ladies a bit glitzy so I used the paper piecing technique on their sunglasses and purses. A little glitter goes a long way! I also tried something different for me, I applied Ranger Tim Holtz Oxide inks onto foiled Therm O Web Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates paper. It turned out really well. The inked and foiled background looks like a Vegas night sky. Here’s how I created this look: 1. Stamp the Art Impressions Girlfriend stamp on watercolor paper and fussy-cut the ladies. 2. Stamp the Ranger Oxide Inks on a non-porous surface and add water, using a paintbrush paint your stamped image 3. Stamp the image a second…

Happy Sunday everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog creating a shiny SHAKER card. I’m still relatively new to stamping and card making. I tend to go all in and try to use as many products as I can. Thankfully, Therm O Web understands and always has amazing corresponding products that feed my need for “lots of details”. Their Gina K. Designs Premium cardstock has been a game-changer for me; it’s smooth, high-quality finish has helped to elevate my stamping and embossing…and then they have foil – how did I ever create without foil before? Here is how I created this very happy, shiny shaker card: Step 1- STAMP Stamp the sentiment, “Thanks Snow Much”. Stamp and emboss snowflakes with Gina K. Designs Baby, it’s Cold Outside stamps.
