graphic 45

I don’t know what it is, but Graphic 45 papers make me pull out my sharpest scissors and start fussy cutting! The images on some of these papers from Botanical Tea collection made fantastic embellishments for my layout. One of my favourite things I LOVE about Graphic 45 collections is that they layer so easily. I think as scrapbookers, especially if new to the craft; layering can be the hardest thing. Graphic 45 has nailed it! Fantastic combinations of large and small prints in color harmony make it simple for everyone to work with. Add to the mix [my title] some Core’dinations Signature Series cardstock; colours designed to work with the Graphic 45 palette and you have a match made in scrapbooker’s heaven! My layout below is an example of how easily these products all play together. I have also distressed the edges of some of my papers with Stampin’…

Graphic 45 has a brand new collection that features images that are perfect for us that love to cook, garden and farm. When I saw the paper and saw pictures of seed packets with carrots and peas, I went weak at the knees. I have a lot of gardening pictures! The colours are rich and vibrant and so fun to work with. You can buy this collection in individual 12×12 sheets or in three different sizes of paper pads. Graphic 45 has also designed matching chipboard, stickers and stamps. Look for it at your favourite scrapbooking stores – it should be arriving any day. I used the January 2015 sketch from the Canadian Scrapbooker sketchy gallery as inspiration and created this layout. I like scrapbooking summer pictures in the depths of January. It makes me hopeful that winter might end someday soon. Think happy summer thoughts! Then, when I had…

The dramatic displays in the graphic 45 booth at the Craft & Hobby show are always impressive. Each collection is housed in its own display cabinet and area.  There are 3 newest releases….Home Sweet Home is reminiscent of home cooking, gardening and similar vintage images. Precious Memories is a stunning baby collection, with cherubic darlings and soft colour palette, suitable for either boys or girls. Artisan Style is a new Art Deco collection filled with beautiful 1920s and 1930s imagery and patterns. Time to Flourish is their second ‘calendar’ themed collection, which was a successful theme last year. These past week, I remembered. I remembered what I have no first hand knowledge about. I remembered brave men and women I have never met. I celebrated the safety and freedom of my life. Today, my heart overflows with gratitude for the bravery and sacrifice of others. Thank-you. A few years ago, we were able to spend Canada Day in Ottawa. What an experience that was! I loved the ceremony and the pride and joy swelling from the crowds. I bet you are wondering why I am reminiscing about Canada Day on Remembrance Day. It is simply because we stopped at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on that day. I guess I just felt the need to look at those photos again. And remember. Lest we forget… Supplies Used: Cardstock- Bazzill Basics Paper  and Core’dinations ColorCore cardstock; Patterned Paper, Stickers- Graphic 45; Dies- Spellbinders; Phoomph under photos and…

Happy Tuesday everyone! Kim here to share a heartfelt layout with you today! It has been ten months since our dear Java left us for “puppy fields in the sky” and I still am surprised to come home and not be greeted by her, 14 years of unconditional love forms routines! My process for this page came together easily, I think because the subject is so dear to my heart. I had saved some of the thoughtful cards sent to us when we had to put Java down. I think originally I couldn’t throw them out because it made her passing so final and I was genuinely surprised that people had sent them, after all to some she was “just a dog”. When I came across the Graphic 45 paper collection “Raining Cats & Dogs”, I knew it was time to pull the cards out to save forever! This paper…

Hello everyone!  It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share some designing tips using Spellbinders® dies.  I created this vintage layout by layering Spellbinders die cuts behind my photo. I used the beautiful graphic 45 “Botanical Tea” collection, which I thought was perfect for this photo of my mom and her friends having a casual tea party back in 1953. This gorgeous Spellbinders Nestabilities® set called “Elegant Ovals” (S4-425) die cut beautifully with this cream card stock (which came in the graphic 45 paper pack) Just look at those intricate cut designs! You cannot get that result from an electronic cutting machine. I used the dies themselves to trace the same shapes from patterned paper to fit inside each Elegant Oval. All of my embellishments are either graphic 45 stickers or fussy cut from the patterned papers. I can always count on Spellbinders dies for intricate cut designs that really pop…
