We Were Framed, Honest! Last summer we picked up a big frame from the local thrift shop and drug it around to various places to use in photographs. This is one of our favourites of our daughter and nephew at the lake. SUPPLIES: Pink Paislee patterned paper, stickers and chipboard, Magenta Stamp, Clearsnap ink, The Crafter’s Workshop stencils, Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock, May Arts ribbon, white gel pen, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I used the Pink Paislee – Hey Kid collection For the background I used one of our my favourite stamps from Magenta To create the background, I sprayed Clearsnap’s smooch spritz through a couple of The Crafter’s Workshop templates, and then smeared the inky side of the template onto the paper. You can’t see the patterns, but it gave the mottled and messy effect I was looking for. I then used some Chalk ink on Magenta’s dotty…
Imagine, Explore, Play by Jayme Loge I recently got my hands on some new DCWV stacks and fell in love (LOVE!) with the ‘Vintage Collector’ line. It is perfect for my girly-girl with wild hair and something askew child- pretty with a touch of shabby!. As soon as I saw the papers I knew they would work with some photos we took at the lake. Sketch books in hand, we took a long walk down the weedy beach. The photos are some of my very favorites ever! I look at them and I can hear her contentedly humming as she picked flowers, checked out snail shells and danced a story for all creation on an abandoned dock. How I love that girl… Supplies Used: DCWV patterned paper, May Arts Ribbon, Clearsnap ink and embossing powder, Bazzill Basics cardstock, Sizzix die, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I pulled out some of…
Thinking of You Card by Jayme Loge First the steps: Start by stamping a background onto some cardstock, using waterproof ink. I used Clearsnap’s Archival Dye inks for this step. I stamped two images in the background (the small dots are a Hero Arts for Doodlebug Designs stamp, and the script is by Stampin’ Up!). Next, get ready for some inky fun! I took a used dryer sheet and cut it into 2″ squares, and spritzed them with three colours of Clearsnap Smooch Spritz. Once they were dry, I mod podged them over top of the background I stamped earlier. Once it was dry, I tore off edges and tied some ribbon around it before attaching it to an embossed background. I punched the butterfly out of a double sided adhesive sheet and applied some Clearsnap glitter to it, then attached it to the ribbon. Last step was stamping…

I wish you health, happiness and love for 2013 :0) I am the lucky lady that gets to start off our new blog series on our scrapbook spaces.
