Good day Creative Scrapbookers!  Jayme Loge here with a quick post of my layout based on the Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge November 2016 sketch. I love using sketches to get me started, and my process generally goes like this: Choose my photo Search my stash for papers and embellishments that compliment the picture(s). Grab the sketch and go! Depending on the day, the resulting layout can be quite a bit like the sketch or nothing at all like it! The latter happened here: Supplies: Bo Bunny patterned paper, stickers and embellishments, Prima alphabet stickers. The majority of my layout was put together using the Bo Bunny Soiree collection. The tiered rectangles ended up overlapping and becoming a shabby layered background, and the sketch took a 180 degree turn! I never worry about how close my result looks compared to the sketch though. My mantra is that the sketch is…

Hello everyone – Jayme Loge here with Tuesday with the Team! My kid is a bookworm, and when I saw Bo Bunny’s Beautiful Dreamer paper line, I knew it was meant just for her! Not only do I love the colour scheme, the book and imaginative images are wonderful. I paired the paper with Creative Scrapbooker’s October 2016 sketch: I am currently having a very serious love affair with the Ranger Dylusions paints and so decided to use them to create the background shapes on my layout. I laid down my stencil and applied the paint with a paper towel, ‘ishing’ the circle shape. I used three colors that coordinated with the paper. I added a little of the green around the edges of the paper and lightly smooshed throughout the background for just a bit more texture. Once the paint was dry, I built my layout on top. One…

Hello everyone! Jayme Loge here today! For my day job, I work in a school as an education assistant. In previous years, my assignment has been to provide literacy support to several classes. This meant working with several teachers and a rotating group of kids. Due to student needs, my assignment this past year has been in one classroom. It was a wonderful experience to work closely with one teacher and student group. I decided to get the kids together to work on a special end of the year gift for the teacher. They ended up creating this wonderful canvas! Supplies Used: Canvas- Michaels 16×20 Stencils- Donna Downey (Keyhole Splatter, Bubbles, Halftone Dots); Tim Holtz (Speckles, Lace) Paint- Ranger Dylusions Stamps- Frog’s Whiskers Ink Ink- Clearsnap We worked for weeks in a secret location, kids giving up their recess time in turn so everyone got a chance to contribute. The…

So, what do you do when you need to create in a hurry? Me, I turn to scrapbooking kits! I pulled out a couple of past kits from Scrapbooking Fanatics and got to work. I love kits because everything is together and coordinated and ready to go. All I had to do was pull photos from my already printed pile and start cutting paper. I created three layouts with one kit, and a fourth from another (which also uses this month’s Creative Scrapbooker sketch). Here are the results: Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are inspired and ready to get creating! Hello Creative Scrapbookers! Jayme Logehere with a fun post inspired by Kerry Engel’s ‘Crazy Bird’ sign. I have been enjoying these little birds on all sorts of things, but when I saw Kerry’s sign and the quote she used, I knew I had to create one of my own. I built mine on a 8.5×11 canvas. After covering the canvas with gesso and adding some ‘bumps’ with texture paste through a stencil, I covered the background with some delicious Dylusions paints from Ranger. I love! love! love! how bright and vibrant the colours are. Once the paint was dry I sprinkled some darker Nuance powders from Magenta over top and spritzed it with water. I rubbed a little bit of brown Dylusions paint around the edges, applying it with a baby wipe. I set the canvas aside to dry and stamped my Crazy Birds (Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous) and Paris background…

I stopped by CSM team member Jayme Loge’s blog the other day and LOVED this project she created for some very special friends in her life!  Little gift bags that included these gorgeous kraft tags. She used Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies, along with Ranger Dylusions ink spray to create these little tags of love! Good day Creative Scrapbookers! Jayme Loge here today with a few layouts from my craft table. I wanted to play with a few simple supplies and try to create a couple of layouts with them. I started with a few sheets of We R Memory Keepers patterned paper and coordinating sticker set, a few sheets of Bazzill cardstock and an American Crafts alphabet set. Here’s what I did with them: First, I started off using the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s sketch from this month’s “Let’s Get Sketchy” challenge – CLICK HERE to download your take on this sketch! I added the heart to the background with some ‘vintage’ Heidi Swapp masks and Inca Gold paste. I changed the orientation of the sketch somewhat and used a special old photo taken on a trip to Mexico in 2000. Back then, film cameras were still in use and disposable panoramic cameras were all…

Today we are featuring Jayme Loge’s take on our monthly sketch challenge. SUPPPLIES: Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock, BasicGrey patterned paper, May Arts ribbon, Pageframes acrylic snowflake, Simple Stories sticker. Tombow Xtreme adhesives. Scraps of Info – “I save leftover bits of paper and embellishments for the purpose of making cards, especially if I only need one at a time. This card was made with some real treasures as I think the BasicGrey paper line (Kioshi) is at least 5 years old! It was created to be an Easter/Spring line, but I thought the crisp cool colours worked for a wintry feel.” Jayme Loge Jayme based her card on our monthly sketchy challenge! We would like to see your take on this sketch – CLICK HERE to share your work with us! Merry Card Making!
