Therefore, I decided to “treat” myself by creating this fun Halloween card and then using the same basic techniques, supplies and stamps (okay, so I changed one, lol), I then treated myself a second time to this wonderful scrapbook page that bears the photo of my “grandhandsomeson” Liam. I kept it basic, all the inking techniques are simple and truly easy to learn and I know everyone can do them. Kim Gowdy here, for Tuesday with The Team. Today I am sharing a project I made to showcase some hummingbird pictures I took, during a workshop I attended in May. The accordion file frame was created using the SIZZIX Bigz Die; “Accordion Flip – 3D”. The first time I saw this die in use I immediately fell in love! Cathie Allan was making Christmas Cards for her family with it, and I ordered it online that same day! For this project I used Canadian Scrapbooker’s Superstock. It is a heavy weight, bright white cardstock that is sturdy and holds up well with layers of ink, paint and mixed media products. If you have never worked with it, I’d highly recommend trying it out! I applied cream acrylic paint on the Magenta Bubble Wrap Border stamp and stamped it on each of my die cut pieces. …

We Were Framed, Honest! Last summer we picked up a big frame from the local thrift shop and drug it around to various places to use in photographs. This is one of our favourites of our daughter and nephew at the lake. SUPPLIES: Pink Paislee patterned paper, stickers and chipboard, Magenta Stamp, Clearsnap ink, The Crafter’s Workshop stencils, Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock, May Arts ribbon, white gel pen, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I used the Pink Paislee – Hey Kid collection For the background I used one of our my favourite stamps from Magenta To create the background, I sprayed Clearsnap’s smooch spritz through a couple of The Crafter’s Workshop templates, and then smeared the inky side of the template onto the paper.
