Hi everyone! Kim here with a quick share of a mini album I just completed. I used a Close To My Heart “Workshop on the Go”. These kits they put together are genius! Patterned paper, cardstock, stamp set, embellishments and an idea sheet…ready for you to play! I choose to work with “La Vie en Rose” set…I love it! Thanks for checking out my album. This project is not hard technically, but requires time. In the end, it’s a nice reminder of a fun girls trip to Washington State. I have LOTS more pictures to scrapbook from this trip, but this mini album is like the “Coles Notes” version of our trip. Happy New Year! Christy Riopel here today with Tuesday with The Team! The new year always brings resolutions and every year I resolve to Scrapbook more. To โ€œcatch up. This year I am trying something a little different. From all my reading I have learned that the key to being successful at any goal is to be specific and reasonable with your goals. So this year I am resolving to make one page a month from a photo I took recently. I think one page a month is a reasonable and attainable goal. This page is the first of my pages. Pictures from this Christmas. It’s a simple page made from Core’dinations ColourCore cardstock, Elizabeth Craft Designs dies, Clearsnap ink and stencils, Pico Embelisher and ย Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. To create my background I layer my cardstock over top of my stencil and sanded in different areas. Now I…

Today we have Kerry Engel as our Guest Blogger, and she is sharing how she is using up her stash by making something new with something old! I have a confession. I find card making stressful. I’m a scrapbooker. I marvel at the beautiful cards that card-makers create. The meticulous stamping, perfect embossing and amazing colouring… I have trouble thinking without a photograph and yet, I still make cards. Mostly to use up my stash because …I have stash-guilt. I got on a card-roll earlier this summer when my daughter came downstairs and declared, “We are out of cards!” Buying cards just feels wrong when I can make them so I tend to go on a card-making-bender each summer. This year, my card-making-bender was made simpler by the addition of the Coreโ€™dinations ColorCore Polka Dot Pop card package. I need to confess two things. I love Kraft coloured paper and…

Every great scrapbook layout and card needs a solid foundation, and that is where Core’dinationsโ„ข card stock comes in. ย Their booth at CHA was jam-packed with tons of card stock possibilities and more! Their sign says it all… I was VERY excited about their “Chalk Core” card stock. ย There are 2 options: black exterior and white core, or black exterior and different coloured cores. ย SO COOL! There are 5 colour options: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green and Orange. They come in smaller folded card sizes too! So when you emboss and/or sand to expose the core, you achieve that fun chalkboard effect… Totally love the distressed style you can create with Core’dinations Colorcore card stock! Also on display was designer David Tutera’s “Celebrate” card making system: These sets incorporate 3 steps for card design: 1. Select a card ย 2. Add a layer ย 3. Embellish ย How easy is this? And just look…

I know there are many of us in love with the gorgeous styles of stamps, dies and papers designed by Heartfelt Creations. ย Their booth at CHA was sooo beautiful! I think this paper crafted dress form captures the essence of this wonderful company! Their floral dies areโ€ฆwellโ€ฆto “die” for. ย This is evident on all their projects on display. Their newly released “Majestic Morning” collection includes a paper pack, dies and stamps. ย It’s gorgeous! All collections on display are stunning, actually. You can use Heartfelt Creations products to design scrapbook layouts and paper crafts too! Isn’t this birdhouse fabulous? Seeing this wall of layouts in their booth was inspirational. This layout is one of my favourites! ย How elegant! Valentines and Easter projects were also on display. Honestly, my head was spinning…I’d never seen so many amazing projects on display all in one place! Walking…

All the way from South Africa, FabScraps always delivers a gorgeous shabby chic display at CHA. ย This show was no exception. ย Wow. Their paper crafted dresses on mannequins are simply amazing and showcase their new collections. Just look at the incredible details… Up close… The metal embellishments and zipper edges you see on this particular dress above are from their new line of products, aptly titled “Addictive Scrapping Goodies” Four new collections were debuted at the show, and each set of papers has matching chipboard die cuts. Here is Retro Twist, with a vibrant purple colour palette and fun geometric patterns… Then there is Beachcomber, a nautical theme… Country Living has beautiful feminine floral patterns, along with vintage images of table settings… The French Heritage collection includes some lovely peacock colours and graphics… And of course, there…
