Hi there, Connie Nichol here today with a couple of projects featuring the new Celebrate die from Elizabeth Craft Designs and designed by Suzanne Cannon. This die is part of the ‘Way with Words’ series and the word ‘Celebrate’ works beautifully for both scrapbooking and card making. Here’s a scrapbook page featuring the Celebrate die and flourish and exclamation point from the Calligraphic Elements 1 die set. I love being able to add flourishes at will. The calligraphic elements 1 also include a beautiful heart. It’s a very handy set. The scrapbook page background is a piece of Stampin Up paper from my stash that had the most beautiful and subtle clear embossed musical design. Hi there, Connie Nichol here today with a romantic scrapbook layout inspired by the February sketch in the CSM Sketchy Gallery. Here’s the sketch this month. I ended up only using the idea of a heart tucked behind the photo, but it was a good place to start. I started with the most gorgeous piece of patterned paper from Heartfelt Creations Peacock and Paisley line. The colours and patterns are simply beautiful. I stamped a romantic stamp from Quietfire Design onto one of the patterned Heartfelt Creations journalling cards. It was a perfect embellishment for a wedding photo. For the finishing touches, the title ‘Always and Forever’, heart and butterflies were cut from Quietfire Design digital cutting files using a Sizzix Eclips 2 and the calligraphic heart is a metal die from the Calligraphic Elements 1 set from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Hi Connie Nichol here today with a couple of snowy projects that are being featured over on the Quietfire Design blog. I started with some of the papers from Simple Stories Snow Patrol line and just kept creating from there. Here’s a simple 8.5 x 11 scrapbook layout to feature a photo I snapped with my phone in the Rocky Mountains last fall. Snowflakes seemed like the perfect embellishment, so I used my Sizzix Eclips 2 to cut a bunch of large snowflakes using the Berry Leaf digital cutting file from Quietfire Design and layered them under the photo to form a snowy background. I love this cutting file because it includes the solid background layers you can use to add dimension and interest. Hi there, Connie Nichol here today with a layout I created for the Quietfire Design blog using one of their new Christmas stamps and a number of Elizabeth Craft Designs dies. Elizabeth Craft Designs has a number of dies in their ‘Way with Words” collection that were designed by Suzanne Cannon of Quietfire Design. They make the most beautiful scrapbook page titles and they cut cardstock like butter. I cut a number of branches with the berry branch die to tuck under the stamped quote and then I dressed up the ‘berries’ with White Opal Liquid Pearls by Ranger.
