Hello everyone!  Today is my turn to share some scrap happiness with you.  As usual, the weather was cold and snowy last weekend, so I sat down with the Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge for February and came up with this layout: Here is Sue Sykes’ February 2015 sketch: This is the first winter in a very, very long time….since my kids were little and playing outdoors a lot…that I have gone outside.  And it’s all because of our pup Finn, who is fanatical about snow and is always too hot inside.  Finn takes me on walks at least twice a day, every single day.  I still can’t believe it myself! I’m even enjoying it. I just LOVE the colours in this year’s winter collection from BoBunny.  Altitude has fabulous patterns and stickers! I cut the title from a piece of patterned paper and made it into a banner: My journaling is…

There was something extra special about the Brother™ booth at the Craft & Hobby show this year when we went to visit.  As you know, the Brother ScanNCut electronic cutting machine debuted last year at CHA…it is the first machine that scans images and cuts as well. One of their displays was a Spring Garden Party ‘tablescape’….designed by me 🙂 I designed and cut this tablecloth and napkins with Kelly Panacci’s new fabric from Riley Blake Designs Ltd.  The butterflies are iron-on material from Brother.  There is a wide assortment of colours and types of heat-applied materials, such as glitter and holographic. The white doily is cut from vinyl and applied to a clear plastic plate.  The placemats, napkin rings, gift boxes and butterfly garland are all cut from Bazzill cardstock.  Can you see that daisy name sticker on the pink gift box?  The ScanNCut also has sticker kits available. There is a new…

Hi Everyone!  It’s Kelly Klapstein here to share with you some fun ways to use the Brother™ ScanNCut when designing your scrapbook layout. SUPPLIES: Brother ScanNCut, Bo Bunny patterned paper, Core’dinations ColorCore cardstock, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Hearts, Clearsnap red glitter. Here is my take on May Sketchy Challenge.  Aren’t these Bo Bunny papers adorable?  This collection is called “Happy Tails”.  When I saw them I knew I had to make a scrapbook layout of our new puppy Finnigan! To create that background of red hearts, I designed a stencil with my Brother™ ScanNCut machine. I also designed the “Puppy Love” title with the ScanNCut and Core’dinations Colorcore Cardstock. If you’d like to watch another video that shows how I created the stencil heart background, click HERE to visit my blog.  On my blog I also have the free cutting file of this…

Perhaps the booth with the most “buzz” at CHA was the Brother™ ScanNCut.  Being the newest electronic cutting machine in the industry has earned the Brother ScanNCut a spot in the Hot Top 20 followed by a first place award! The ScanNCut is a revolutionary new home and hobby cutting machine with the convenience of a 300 DPI built-in scanner and can be used with or without a computer.  The creative possibilities for crafters are endless! You can cut a variety of material, from fabric to plastic and of course paper. Quilters also love this machine! You can cut very intricate designs easily. There were lots of great demo’s happening throughout the show. For those of you who enjoy using original drawings and art or lettering, you can scan and cut your own personal designs: You can also scan and cut stamped images. A fun application is to cut…
