I love these mixed media cards Kerry Engel has designed. Kerry used an SVG file of Frida and added it to her Brother ScanNCut.The Brother ScanNCut then drew the image right on the mixed media background that Kerry designed. The results are stunning. Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with my Brother ScanNCut electronic cutting machine. Stickers, gotta love βem. They are the backbone of contemporary scrapbooking. They really deserve a shout-out for the role they play in helping us to tell our stories in our scrapbooks. Twenty-three years ago when I started scrapbooking it was all about adding stickers to your pages and they still play a pivotal role in my creative expressions. That said, stickers can do more than stick, they can be very versatile. I have a sticker hack for creating next-level stickers. Hereβs how I create my own sturdier βcardstockβ elements from stickers, to help me to create design clusters that really pop. To create this clustered tag I needed different weights of the various elements (ie. Stickers). I create my own βcard stockβ sticker elements with the Brother ScanNCut…

Hello everyone!Β Today is my turn to share some scrap happiness with you.Β As usual, the weather was cold and snowy last weekend, so I sat down with the Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge for February and came up with this layout: Here is Sue Sykes’ February 2015 sketch: This is the first winter in a very, very long time….since my kids were little and playing outdoors a lot…that I have gone outside.Β And it’s all because of our pup Finn, who is fanatical about snow and is always too hot inside.Β Finn takes me on walks at least twice a day, every single day.Β I still can’t believe it myself!Β I’m even enjoying it. There was something extra special about the Brotherβ’ booth at the Craft &Β Hobby showΒ this year when we went to visit.Β As you know, the Brother ScanNCut electronic cutting machine debuted last year at CHA…it is the first machine that scans images and cuts as well. One of their displays was a Spring Garden Party ‘tablescape’….designed by me π I designed and cut this tablecloth and napkins with Kelly Panacci’s new fabric from Riley Blake Designs Ltd.Β The butterflies are iron-on material from Brother.Β There is a wide assortment of colours and types of heat-applied materials, such as glitter and holographic. The white doily is cut from vinyl and applied to a clear plastic plate.Β The placemats, napkin rings, gift boxesΒ and butterfly garland are all cut from Bazzill cardstock.Β Can you see that daisy name stickerΒ on the pink gift box?Β The ScanNCut also has sticker kits available. There is a new…
