Hello everyone – Desiree Saskiw here on the blog today! This was my first crack at a mixed media project! As I dug through my supplies looking for products to use I came across the Spellbinders shapeabilites “Sweet Treats” diecut template as well as the Heartfelt Creations “Sun Kissed Fleur” custom design template. I then grabbed the matching Heartfelt Creations “Sun Kissed Collection” paper pack and set to work! I was very pleased with the flowers that I got from the die cut template and how they added great dimension to my piece. I also loved the Spellbinders lemonade cup, which gives subtle tribute to my friends innate ability to turn “lemons in to lemonade!” My friend in the photograph is soon turning 40 so I figured that instead of giving her a bunch of flowers that will wither and die, why not create a scrapbooked, lasting bouquet! Hi everyone! Jodi, here today to share with you a Simple Stories double pager that I completed for my project life this year! I love this style of scrapbooking that really captivates the every day moments, and Simple Stories makes it so easy to do this! For my WEEK 6 spread, I used the collection: HOMESPUN. This is the first time I have used Simple Stories for this type of project, and I was amazed at how fast it all came together! Desiree Saskiw here! I must admit that I had taken a stamping hiatus for some time, but this fun Magenta “Savvy Symbols” stamp set inspired me to pull of the ink and embossing powders and get to work! I have always been drawn to using circles as part of my paper creations so this birthday card was no exception. I enjoyed the contrast that was created between the use soft lines in the circles and hearts, with the straight lines of the arrows. The number stamps were a fun addition; counting up to the Happy 10th birthday for my niece Jaeanna!
