When I travel I like to document my thoughts, experiences and days in a journal. When I have a bit more time (or my husband needs a nap) I like to draw and record the colours and patterns around me too.  Kelly Klapstein’s new products were made for hand lettering but the minute I got my hands on them I knew they’d be great for using as a journal. When I first picked up a brush pen 3 years ago and began practicing lettering, I quickly started to think about how I could teach others how to learn this beautiful art form of calligraphy. Soon I developed my own set of tracing worksheets (just like I used in elementary school) that would help others develop the skills to write pretty letters. Then American Crafts came along, and we collaborated to design an entire product line of pens, workbooks, practice journals and more that would make learning calligraphy easy and fun. Welcome back to my creative planning blog series where I show you a variety of planners and creative ways to use them. Today I want to show you one of my favorite new products from Simple Stories, the Vintage Floral travelers notebooks. Travelers notebooks are so portable and easy to carry with you anywhere. You can load them up with notebook inserts that you can customize in SO MANY ways! I used mine as a travel journal on my recent trip to Oregon and Southern California.
