Hello creative friends! Leah O’Neil here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Welcome back to my creative planning blog series where I show you a variety of planners and creative ways to use them. Today I want to show you one of my favorite new products from Simple Stories, the Vintage Floral travelers notebooks.
Travelers notebooks are so portable and easy to carry with you anywhere. You can load them up with notebook inserts that you can customize in SO MANY ways! I used mine as a travel journal on my recent trip to Oregon and Southern California. I was able to use it to easily jot down memories and store away little mementos I picked up while on the trip.
I didn’t have a lot of time for decorating my pages while on vacation, but I made sure to take lots of notes about how we spent our time. I love that I was able to take out my traveler’s notebook on the plane to journal, even in such a tiny space. When I got home and back to my desk, I used my notes from the trip to begin scrapbooking the memories. The first thing I decided to do was decorate the cover of the notebook insert I planned to use. I mostly used the Beautiful collection from Simple Stories to decorate with. Check out the process video below – all of the supplies used will be linked in the description box of the video.
Here are some photos of the finished notebook cover and some close ups!I love the map pattern on the black paper I used for this cover. Very fitting for a travel journal don’t you think? Stay tuned on my YouTube channel for lots more process videos as I decorate the pages of this notebook.
I can’t wait to fill this journal up with all the memories collected from my vacation!
If you’d like some more creative planning inspiration, I would love for you to come say hello over on my Instagram!
Until next time, happy crafting friends!
