Today we welcome Nicole Wright, also known as Canadian Nickel Scrap’n, who creates amazing projects with Sizzix!
Well, can I just say I’m thrilled to be a Guest Blogger on Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine! Hey everyone, my name is Nicole. I live in beautiful Calgary, Alberta with my husband of 20 years and 3 growing kids. I’m a proud Canadian Blogger and I love all things grungy, vintage and messy. I’ve worked hard to find my style and I love sharing my creative process.
In 2014 I entered and won the Sizzix http://www.sizzix.com/home Who Are You Contest as North America’s Top Crafter. I was flown to Sizzix where I spent the day meeting the Sizzix Team, crafting and learning. Every crafters dream!
I was asked by Sizzix Designer Eileen Hull to create 5 projects for CHA from her newest Sizzix Collection. I’m excited to share with you my Travel Trailer. This new Sizzix collection is Eileen Hull’s Vintage Travel Collection debuting at the 2015 CHA Show.
I used distress paints tumbled glass for the trailer sides and brushed pewter for the front and back.
I spritzed the mini woodland tree with distress spray stain tumbled glass. I wrapped the tree with a couple of tattered banners and stamped “Camp Fun”
On the rear I attached this “Home” plate. Then I inked a couple of pearls with poppyseed alcohol ink for brake lights.
I created a door and windows. Then added foiled metal accents embossed with a diamond plate texture fade. Gears for wheels, tinsel twine along the edges and some hardware for the hitch.
I hope you enjoyed my sweet little Travel Trailer from the new Vintage Travel Collection. These will be available in early spring so keep a crafty eye out. Thank you to Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine for asking me to share my project on the blog!
Have fun and Get Inky!
