It’s 7am and I’ve just gotten home from an early morning bootcamp. I’ve never understood “those people” that are up at the crack of dawn until now. I get it. I’ve showered, exercised and I already have a load of laundry in the washer while the children are still dreaming of lollipops and rainbows.
Productivity at its finest.
But the best part of this new routine is that I have a few moments of peace with a steaming hot cup of coffee before chaos ensues. I usually catch up on some blog reading or update my to do lists. Today is a little different and quite delightful. I have a brand new Stampin’ Up! catalogue to devour. I will be making a large wish list with my new ‘be amazing’ pen and it feels like Christmas.
You got it. June 2nd is “New Catalogue Release Day.”
I was lucky enough to have some of the new products prior to the release. Some of my favourite products have been the Project Life ™ line created by Becky Higgins exclusively for Stampin’ Up! I was excited to see plenty of new Project Life ™ card and accessory kits to choose from in the new catalogue. For this month’s project, I used three new fabulous products: Moments Like These stamp set, Moments Like These Project Life ™ Accessory kit and the Cherry on Top 6×6 Designer Paper Stack.
Three main products? Yes.
To create this 8.5×11 page? Yes.
It can be done.
Immediately I was drawn to the 2×2 Project Life ™ cards in the accessory kit. With that in mind, I began to formulate a grid with some pictures of my family’s recent trip to the Tampa Bay Aquarium. With any vacation, I take so many pictures. Grid layouts are perfect for these types of multi-photo layouts. Once I had laid out the cards and my pictures, I adhered them to the page using my sewing machine.
Although I love the clean white look that I’ve created, I wanted to make a border around the photos. I didn’t have any full size patterned paper so I created a background page by piecing four pages of the Cherry on Top 6×6 paper together.
This was coming together nicely. I wanted the title to be “Tampa Bay Aquarium” so I used the gold foil alphas included in the kit. I continued to embellish and stamp haphazardly.
Life is good. Don’t forget to preserve your happy moments even if it is just a hot cup of coffee or a shower to yourself first thing in the morning.
Happy “New Catalogue Release Day” my scrappy friends. A delightful day indeed.

I’ve been drouling all over my new catalogue for the last couple of weeks. As a SU demo in Québec, I love that there are so many Project Life stamps in French.
