Pinwheel Photo mats
Materials: Magenta Paper, Stencils, and Stamps, Liquitex Gesso and Texture Medium, Beacon Adhesives 3in1, Oil Pastels, Ranger Gel Pen, Clearsnap ink
Who says photo mats have to be square or flat? We have seen pinwheels used in scrapbooking for years. They are an inexpensive and fun way to embellish any page, but I thought it might be fun to use them as photo mats under this group of fun shots of my daughter being silly.
To soften the edges of them I brushed them with a little gesso.
To add more texture to this page I scraped a texture paste through a Magenta stencil and let it dry.
I also punched circles out of the same paper as the pinwheels and brushed them with gesso.
Instead of traditional journaling I let this fabulous Magenta stamp do all the talking for me.
This Magenta patterned paper already had distressed colours on the edges but not blue, but I added a bit of blue by lightly rubbing them with an oil pastel.
Happy Spring!
