Today we welcome guest blogger Laurel Seabrook from British Columbia, who will share some of her designs using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
Hi everyone, I am Laurel Seabrook and I have been on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L design team for a couple of months now. I am an avid paper crafter, I love making cards, scrapbooks and altered art. One thing that is common in all of them is that they need adhesive, and I love the assortment that Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L offers.
Today I have a couple of cards to share. I teach grade one and I like to give the students a handmade card on their birthday. The other day I used up my last card so I decided I had better get busy building up that stash.
My normal style is very layered with lots of bits. However, grade ones are not the most careful thus I keep the cards I make for them fairly simple. One thing I like to do with simple cards is add some dimension and an easy way to do this is with some 3D Foam Squares. I mounted the stamped cat on foam squares and it helps to add interest to the card.
Another way that I like to add interest on simple cards is to include clusters of elements that are not symmetrical. I like my pieces to look like they just fell and I adhered them. Once I am happy with the placement I use a permanent adhesive, like the E-Z Runner and then a bit of stitching and stapling for added interest.
I hope that you have enjoyed your visit here today and I would like to thank Canadian Scrapbooker for having me as a guest blogger!

I am married with 2 girls (age 20 and 17) and a granddaughter. I teach Grade one full-time, and at night I have many things that keep me busy. Paper crafting is one of them. I have been very fortunate in this industry. I have been on many fabulous design teams and have been published in several magazines. I am honoured to be a guest blogger here today.
