Are you feeling merry today?
Well, it’s November now and you might as well get used to the Christmas jingles and décor every way you look. For me, the Christmas season doesn’t start until a certain coffee shop releases their holiday cups… That’s right. I get giddy inside and I instantly want to hoard keep my first empty cup in order to scrapbook it later. I am immediately ready to tackle the season head on while I fill up my planner with parties and traditions.
It’s pretty much the most exciting time of the year! Isn’t that right?
Fa La La La La!
You should be singing Fa La La La La, if you noticed how the branches of the tree were raised in the photo above. That’s right, its an amazing framelit from Stampin’ Up! that coordinates with the Peaceful Pines stamp set. Quite easy and quite amazing.
Christmas cards aren’t the only thing that I’ve been doing. I continue to record our family life on a weekly basis. Essentially I have been documenting my daily routines. In this scrapbook page, I took a lot of photos and used a prompt of “The story of this photo” to describe what was happening in the image. Prompts can really help you with journaling if this is a struggle that you have.
To create this page, I laid out the small photos on the page. It worked out that I could evenly lay them on the sides. I also typed up my journaling and glued that in the centre. Using the 2015 Seasonal Snapshot alphas and washi that come in the accessory kit, I created a link between the photo and the journaling. If scrapbooking interests you but you aren’t always feeling creative, create an “informative” page like this to get your inspiration moving.
Thank you for dropping by today! Be sure to tag @canadianscrapbookermagazine and myself @IntheCatCave so we can share your creations! Don’t forget to let us know what gets you giddy inside for the holidays? Is it the first sign of snow? Is it when the Christmas decorations show up in the Costco aisles? Or perhaps it/s when you receive your first Christmas card.
