The “Sweet” Life
By AJ Otto
My favorite thing about scrapbooking is preserving the every day moments. The stuff you wont remember in the years ahead, the current favorites, likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc.
This picture of my daughter is a pretty accurate depiction her at this time, life seems to be all about the phone, her music, and *fingers crossed*, a hot chocolate from Starbucks time permitting. With extra whip of course. 😉
I started with some splatters of the silk luster just to create a slight break in the white background.
I tend to keep my scrapping style to less is more, focusing on the pictures, and hopefully documenting the current event.
Luckily, the size of the Spellbinders dies used make scrapbooking with the Spellbinders Prizm die cutting machine entirely possible.
I decided on the focal point being her picture, and wanted a small border to ground the image.
I used the Spellbinder Die D-Lites Sing It Loud 1 etched die to die cut the music notes several times and adhered them across the page, slightly linking to each other.
Trying to bring some light pops of color in, I added a few of the Spellbinders S1-010 Die D-Lites Party Banners in the upper corner from the colors found in her comforter, which also provided a great place to add a fun music note as well.
I also stamped some of Seth Apter for Spellbinders new stamps – Turnarounds Set 2 – randomly to help add another layer of depth to the project. The little additional touches – head phones and coffee cup – came from these two sets of dies also from Spellbinders – The Die D-Lites Hipster 1 etched die and The Die D-Lites Loud 2 etched die
The word Sweet is die cut out using the Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sweet Set etched dies.
Dies are the perfect way to create embellishments that can customize your project, layout, or card.

Great page. Love the touch of splatter in the background!!
Love your layout, especially the white on white diecuts which give the cardstock an embossed look. Thanks for showing us the variety of Spellbinder dies. I didn’t realize how many could apply to layouts about my family.
