Looking back to the Winter 2015/16 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine – Christy Riopel had a ton of fun with her Plaid Mod Melts and glue gun! I love it when unconventional scrapbooking supplies find their way onto scrapbooking projects.
On this layout Christy created that cute little red heart using her Plaid Mod melts, molds and heat gun. She also used these products to create that really cool white scribble, splatter in the background. SUPER DUPER LOVE IT! The next time you are at the craft store and see all those coloured glue sticks for your heat gun – GRAB a few! Adding and creating embellishments with your hot glue is a wee bit addicting! While Christy was working on her projects for her Winter 2015 Tool Junkie article – I was completely inspired AND was 100% guilty of going out and making a hot glue gun, molds and melts purchase! I had a rather ugly black heat gun…not nearly as cute as this one!
I giggled cause this purchase came out of my house and home budget – not my scrappy budget. Every house NEEDS a hot glue gun and accessories!!!!!! Right?!?
Thanks for stoppping by today and reminiscing with me about my wonderful friend Christy.
I miss her dearly and these posts warm my heart. Thanks for letting me share!
Have a wonderful Saturday everyone.
In loving memory of Christy Riopel – we continue to raise money for the Christy Riopel Art Scholarship. To date – one scholarship has been given through The Boys & Girls club of Calgary. This warms my heart knowing that Christy continues to spread gentle, caring and inspiring love through art in our world. Thank you so much to everyone who donates. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.
