Staycation Collection by Creative Memories with Noreen Smith

Hi friends! Noreen here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com to share a fun scrapbook layout featuring the new Staycation Collection and Dine Border Punch from Creative Memories! Staycation is a collection that celebrates staying close to home and enjoying all that our local area has to offer and it’s perfect for all the photos of family nights, baking sessions, backyard parties, and virtual celebrations that we have all experienced over the past year! And the Dine Border Punch is so much fun to documents family dinners, BBQs, take-out meals, or anything else having to do with FOOD!
To create this layout, punch two borders with the Dine Border Punch from the kraft-colored patterned paper in the Staycation Paper Pack. Mount them onto two strips of green arrow paper with Repositionable Adhesive. TIP: Repositionable Adhesive is awesome for adhering detailed borders as the tiny dots of adhesive only stick to the paper! Cut the border into angled pieces: place the bottom corner of the strip on the cutting line of the 12” Trimmer and with the opposite side of the border along the 45-degree line marked on the base of the trimmer and cut. Move the cut edge to match with the 2.75” mark and cut again. Repeat that step one more time so you end up with two 2.75” angled strips, one strip with a square end, and one small triangle. Turn the second border strip over and repeat the cuts so the angles will be going in the opposite direction. Adhere the strips in whichever direction you choose, lining one angled edge with the top or bottom edge of the page. Place a 6.5” x 12” strip across the middle of the page to cover the other angled edges. Mat a 4” x 6” photo and two 3.75” x 3.75” photos on the cards from the coordinating Staycation Variety Mat Pack and arrange on centre paper strip. Add Staycation Stickers or Staycation Embellishments as desired, and journal to complete the layout. You can even add the small triangular ends that were cut off in the first step to act as photo corners! Waste not, want not!
