Happy August!
Every month I receive the Ali Edwards ‘Story’ kit and also the ‘Stories By the Month’ kit. I have been a subscriber since day one and they continue to be my favourite product to reach for. Because I haven’t been as creative as I like over the past year, I have several kits unopened. Yikes. This month, I opted to grab a kit in order to absolutely crush it. Boom. I did not crush it.
Insert sad face.
However, the cork letters were used as a jumping off point. I finished not one but two layouts as a result. And that, my friends, is what I am calling a win.
The words reminded me of a couple sets of photos. Next thing I knew it, I managed to have two layouts going at the same time. With the Pink Paislee Bloom Street embellishment pack and papers in hand, I was going between both layouts moving things around until I was happy. It’s funny how I started the night with no creativity and almost a forced plan. By the end of the night, I was oozing. Bottom line is simple. “Just start”. I have to keep reminding myself of this. It sounds so easy but “just start” almost hurts.
It doesn’t hurt.
Just.
Start.
Just start today.

“It sounds so easy but “just start” almost hurts.” That resonates with me as I always feel I should be doing something “productive” rather than enjoying some me time!
