Okay – so for the past 4 years Katharina and I have gone to one of them most beautiful places on the planet to scrapbook for National Scrapbooking Day – Oasis Scrapbooking Bull River Retreat. Over the years the getaway grew to include any and all members of the CS team that could join us as well as some fabulous new found friends whom we meet there every year!!!! During this weekend we have soooooooooooooooo much fun and get sooooo much done for future issues of the magazine. This year much to my sadness, I was unable to attend:( – but have thoroughly been enjoying the posting of pictures on facebook and blogs about the event. It is a joke between us all that as the Editor of the magazine I give everyone assignments (at the retreat) and like to see them completed at the end! (however this is just a little…

Dance competition season has ended in our home. This is both a sad time as the costumes and solos are put away in the memory boxes and an exciting time as we move forward and begin to plan for next year. I thought I would share with you what we actually do at competitions……. First we do a whole pile of hurrying up and get there so that we can hurry up and wait!!!!! Lots of time is spent visiting, stretching and trying to get rid of the nerves! I actually love this part the best – connecting with the girls, visiting, laughing, being silly cause we are almost always tired from all the travelling! The Distrezz-it-All from Zutter is COOOLIO! I played with this a little bit at CHA and definately need to get my hands on it. It distresses edges with a blink of an eye! YEP! and you can do more then one page at a time!!!! I LOVED IT! If you get a chance to play with one, go for it! Be warned however – you will be adding it to your NEED list! LOL!
