Hello everyone! Noreen here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share my sketch-to-page process with you! Some of you know that I design monthly sketches to share on my own blog and YouTube Channel, but I LOVE to work with sketches from other designers too! Kerry Engel creates fresh sketches for the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Sketchy Gallery and I look forward to using them every month as a jumping-off point. Along with Kerry’s sketch I’ll be using a versatile new collection released this month by Creative Memories called Memoirs & Memories which features great neutral designs that can be used for so many different page themes (think heritage, travel, tribute and masculine pages!) and includes a Paper Pack, Stickers, Foiled Embellishments and Variety Mat Cards as well as an incredible album with pre-designed Fast2Fab pages! It’s gorgeous! I’m also going to be using the new Gears Chain Border Maker Cartridge to create…
I have a problem. I might need help, an addiction you might say…I LOVE all things Ranger, nothing Ranger is boring…it’s ALL super fun and lets my creativity flow! I sat down to make a quick card for this blog post, I pulled out some inks and stamps, but couldn’t stick with one Ranger designer, so I kept pulling out product from 4 designers! Check out all this yumminess…Distress Oxides, Dylusions paint pens, Distress Spray, Dina Wakley stamps, Scribble Sticks, Wendy Vecchi embossing powder and my Dylusions Journal Block. All of these fabulous supplies worked harmoniously to create my card. I doodled, traced, embossed and just had FUN! Not once did I overthink the process, and I love the finished card! What are your favourite Ranger products? Do you honestly have just one? We are thrilled to have Ranger as one of Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival sponsors. We hope to…
Whoa! Someone put the reigns on August! Somehow this summer has gotten away from us and September is right around the corner! That means kids are back to school and the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival is too! Seems like we just packed up from last year’s carnival! So today I have a quick card share for you that looks a bit more time consuming than it is! Rule #1 as a card maker – make them think you sweat…think Rice Crispy commercial! My card was inspired by our July Sketchy challenge and layered on top of some CSM superstock! In an ideal world I would have more photos for you of the process, but I am using my “free pass” and will step them out in writing. 1] I used and older Heartfelt Creations background stamp, Large Elegant Word and Clearsnap inks to randomly stamp down the left side and…

I know you did some GREAT stamping and paper crafting because I saw the floor after you were all done !!! For those of you who did not make it …. MAKE IT NEXT YEAR!! You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. For myself, I was busy sharing ideas and fun stamping & inking techniques the whole weekend, through classes and demos. I demo in the Creative Scrapbooking Magazine booth of course and while I “play”, I am blessed to spend time with amazing paper crafters who simply love to take a stamp to paper, creating cards, scrapbook pages, art journals…

Plaid Mod Podge has truly been around since the beginning of time! Okay maybe not the beginning but they are celebrating Mod Podge’s 50th Anniversary! I remember using Mod Podge when I was at Whitney Lake camp in grade 4. The art teacher brought in this huge container and we all poured it into little styrofoam bowls and dipped those big long wooden paintbrushes into it. The project back then was most definitely a balloon covered in string smothered in Mod Podge to create paper mache. Good times! The Products Not much has changed today. Plaid continues to make Mod Podge products that maintain a high quality crafting standard. The number of products with the Mod Podge name has definitely increased through out the years – they are no longer only known for their water based sealer, glue and finishes. Now you can purchase everything from foam brushes, molds, spray…
Hi everyone! Noreen Smith here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Creative Scrapbooker blog today sharing a couple of projects made with Creative Memories’ new school-themed Bookworm Collection! A Peek at the Bookworm Collection I’m sure I say this every year, but where has the summer gone? It’s hard to believe that it’s the middle of August and my kids will be starting school in just a couple of weeks! But, I must admit that Back-to-School is one of my favorite times of the year. I love thinking about the possibilities of the year ahead, buying fun new stationary supplies and enjoying the hint of fall leaves in the air. As I’ve been getting ready for the new school year, I just had to stop to reflect on past school years and create a quick layout and teacher gift with CM’s cute new products! For the…
