Hello! Noreen Smith here, and I’m very happy to be on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog today to share some Christmas projects using Creative Memories’ Sugarplum Collection! This sweet collection features a Paper Pack, Stickers, Embellishments, coordinating Vellum Papers, a foiled Album cover and Fast2Fab Pre-printed Album pages! The designs are inspired by holiday candy, décor and classic Christmas icons, as well as whimsical, playful patterns that also make it perfect for birthdays, Winter, babies and more. Some might comment that at first glance the collection doesn’t seem too Christmas-y as it features a lot of pastels. But of you remember that colors like pink and mint green are just tinted versions of the more traditional Christmas colors of red and green, you’ll realize that they really are quite versatile! Since there were some cute candy and gingerbread house icons in the sticker pack, I used the collection to document our…
Hello everyone! Vicki Wizniuk here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I am sharing a layout I created using the new Falling For You patterned papers from Close to My Heart! I also added the orange strip at the bottom of the pages from the new Cats & Bats patterned paper packet from Close to My Heart. The word FALL is from the new Block Alphabet Thin Cuts dies – I seriously love these – they make creating titles an absolute breeze. I cut the leafy branches from the Flower Market Cricut cartridge. I added shimmer to the leafy branches using a Shimmer Brush, and added some White Dots, which are adhesive backed and just add a little extra pizzaz to my layout. I stamped the date in black ink using the Jennifer’s Hand alphabet stamp set. So many awesome details on this layout. If you don’t have a copy of…
Way up on the Mountain – Featuring BoBunny – Take a Hike By Kerry Engel Creative blocks? Do you every get them? Sometimes I move the photos around for days. They sit on the counter and everyday I come in and move them around until something jumps out for me. With this set of pictures my first impulse was my go-to “grid layout”. This layout sat on my counter for a few days, it felt sort of boring, it didn’t get my mojo going. That goofy selfie photo made me laugh and I felt like it should be the dominant photo on the page. I also wanted more white space. Something that is hard to do with a set of photos that filled their frames. I also wanted to create some movement, this is when I decided on this layout. After I figured out how I wanted to position my…

Hi Everyone! It’s Kelly here to share my new Double the Fun sketch and layout….for our Spring 2016 issue! A double sketch sure comes in handy for big events involving lots of photos, like my daughter’s Graduation last May. I think I will be scrapping those pics a lot especially because a really talented and creative photographer took them. Thank you Madeline Ludlage Photography! I used mostly Momenta papers and products for the design. This gorgeous paper pack by Momenta is called “Perched”. This cardstock patterned paper has beautiful collage images on it. I used a pretty floral Momenta Stencil with a Faber-Castell Texture Gems Gel Liner on the right page. I also used this gold Gel Liner to add dimensional flourishes to each side of my title, which are Momenta alphabet stickers. This gorgeous layered Momenta bird die is so pretty with the embossing. I layered May Arts gold pearl ribbon…
Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here to share with you my new double layout sketch and design for the Winter 2015 page call! Don’t hate me for saying the word, “Winter!” ha ha I fell in love with the new BoBunny “Sweet Life” collection and knew it would look perfect with some photos of my youngest daughter. I fussy cut some of the beautiful flowers and butterflies from the Bobunny patterned paper as embellishments. Those other pretty flowers are Bobunny too, but I felt they were a little too dark for my layout, so I took out some Clearsnap Colorbox Chalk ink in a white colour called “Popcorn” and altered the dark red flowers so they were lighter. The gold pearls in the flower centres are BoBunny Jewels. See those pretty doilies tucked behind my photos? I used the BoBunny Lace Stickable Stencil and Pastel Pink Colorbox Chalk ink to make them! I had never used these…
Recently, Stampin’ Up! has joined forces with Becky Higgins to develop an amazing Project Life by Stampin’ Up! product line. These exclusive products include items such as the 4×6, 4×4, and 3×4 cards, embellishments, alphas, stamp sets, punches, framelits and more. I am here to show you why Project Life can work for you! Many people find that the Project Life system helps them create beautiful scrapbook pages without spending hours on a single page. Although, I believe this is very true, it isn’t why I love it… I adore traditional scrapbooking because I feel like the page is my piece of art – my canvas. However, there are times when I simply have too many photos. For example, I take a huge amount of pictures during family events as I try to annoy everyone as much as humanly possible capture special moments with family and friends. These are the…
Hello everyone! It’s Kelly here, and today I’m going to share a fun embellishment you can make for your scrapbook layouts or cards. For my newest Double the Fun sketch, I created this layout, celebrating my son’s Graduation: See those shiny silver stars? They are made using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam shapes: 3D Foam Stars and Clearsnap foils! In the package, the 3D Foam Stars are nesting, so you get an assortment of sizes. Here is a quick photo tutorial of how you can make your own shiny stars! Designer Foil from Clearsnap will help you make your stars silver. First, remove one of the star outlines from the sheet and place on any patterned paper. I used BoBunny’s Woodland Winter collection. Remove the adhesive backing from the 3D Foam Star and then press the Clearsnap Designer Foil directly on top. You don’t have to rub, just press…
